When I first went into printing in 1976, my thoughts were, that I would love being in the business because of the freedom of the press and the ability to get out the news. Little did I know how little truth was actually in the news. To reporters and editors of the major newspapers around the nation and the media at large, the truth matters little, to the sensationalism that they can capture the people’s attention with. Ferguson, Missouri and Governor Rick Perry are two such examples.
In Ferguson, the truth of the matter, didn’t give anyone fits for checking when it came to reporting. All they could think about was to go there, and then find all the people who were rioting, and interview them as protestors because of an ‘unarmed black teen’ that was “gunned down” by a white police officer. The truth of the matter didn’t seem to matter to these people, until the new media got it out that this same “gentle giant” had minutes before strong arm robbed a store, and when the police stopped him for it, he resisted and attacked the officer who shot him.
The fact that Michael Brown had done these things didn’t even come out for days after the fact, while the media did everything they could to destroy the reputation of the cops. It was the narrative that the media and the left in this country were interested in.
Then, on thursday, after a week of relentless UNREPORTING on this incident, after the truth started to get in the way, the media dropped the story and went on to the next one to destroy. And yes folks that is what the mainstream media does on a daily basis. And no one calls them on it. I am calling them on it now, as did some of the talk show hosts here in Indianapolis did. Tony Katz comes to mind.
When it comes to what was happening in Ferguson, the media was replacing words. They were calling the looters that were going stark raving mad there, protestors. Let me get this one straight. LOOTERS ARE NOT PROTESTERS!
Protesting is something that I support. They are protesting something that should be changed or they think should be changed, so they peacefully protest and try to get their ideas out there. This is something that is protected by the Constitution. PERIOD!
Looting on the other hand is criminal. When you are looting, you are NOT protesting. YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW, and that is not protected by our Constitution, or our laws folks. Get this right for once. Here is what Tony Katz said on this subject, and he is spot on.
Now I have one more thing to say about Ferguson, Missouri. People are using the word protester in the place of looter and looter in the place of protester. They’re not the same thing. Protesters are people who are enjoying their first amendment rights. I support those people. You may not like what they’re protesting or why they’re protesting, but they absolutely have the right to protest. If you’re opposed to their right to protest, my goodness which amendments do you think people should be allowed to use?
Only for the ones you like, or only for the causes you think are acceptable?
The looters are a much different story. Looters are people who think that just because they are angry, they’re entitled to destroy property, break into stores and steal. No amount of anger, on any subject gives you the right to steal the property of others. Theft is NOT an allowable response to being angry. You’re entitled to your feelings, you’re just not entitled to take the stuff of somebody else because of it.
When we see shop owners, in Ferguson, who show up to their stores with guns, we shouldn’t be shocked. We should be standing up and applauding. Because they are willing to protect their property, and they’re willing to protect their livelihood. Including, of course, those that that livelihood takes care of.
The police should be doing a far better job in Ferguson, whether it be the Ferguson PD, the St. Louis county or the Missouri State highway Patrol.
But in the end people need to actually take care of themselves. And that is why we need to applaud the business owners who are doing just that. As for the looters. They’re not protesters. They’re criminals. They’re stealing. They shouldn’t be surprised to see what happens to them if they try to steal.
Amen to that sir. But sadly, that is not the direction we are going here. And when the media finally has to get it right because all the so called “facts” that they have been reporting all along are being proven false, they stop, get silent on the subject and move on with total impunity to the lies that they were telling, and not one apology to the ones they dissed during their tirade of lies told about all involved.
But it goes farther than that. Remember how race baiter extraordinaire Al Sharkton was there and telling everyone how things need to change because this cop had no right to do what he did, and the “poor gentle giant” of a black teen was viciously and callously murdered? I can show you just how wrong Sharkton and Jackson always are.
On the campus of Texas A&M white students were beaten to death by a black mob outside of a McDonalds there. And did you hear Al Sharkton speaking out on the injustice done there? Oh you didn’t? NO YOU DIDN’T because the color of the person whose blood was spilled was not the right color…..and the ones spilling the blood? NOT THE RIGHT COLOR EITHER. From RedFlagNews.com comes this.
White Texas A&M Students Beaten to Death by Black Mob Outside McDonalds…Race Huslters Nowhere to be Found…
— You won’t be surprised to learn the media scrubbed the race of the attackers.
Via American Thinker:
To the four clean-cut college freshman out on a double date, it had seemed like a typical McDonald’s: spanking clean, well-lighted, and safe. It was in a good neighborhood too, right next to Texas A&M University in College Station — a campus known for its friendly atmosphere and official down-home greeting: “howdy.”
Shortly after 2 A.M. that Sunday, they pulled into the parking lot of so-called “University McDonald’s” and beheld a scene unlike anything portrayed in all those wholesome McDonald’s television commercials. Before them, hundreds of young black males were loitering about, some without shirts.
Other local residents — the more cynical and world-weary, both whites and most blacks — would have taken one look at the crowd and driven off, dismissing many of the young and posturing black males as thugs. But not them: innocent white kids from the suburbs. They presumed this was post-racial America — and that they were in an easy-going college town.
Twenty minutes later, two of them were dead.
Incredibly, the race of the assailants was scrubbed from local news coverage; and utterly missing from tersely written wire-service stories about a Brazos County jury’s whopping $27 million negligence verdict on July 30 against “University McDonald’s” — an outlet owned by the Oak Brook, Illinois-based fast-food giant.
Now I know, I haven’t been writing here as much as I was a while back because now I am working 10 hours a day and find I have little time to come here. But when things are going as insane as they are in this world and this country, something has to be said. And this thing on the beheading of the American photojournalist in the middle east? Don’t get me started on that one. But started I will get with my next post. We are in a war folks….it’s time we started acting like we are. Both here and abroad.
