The Border

First of all, it’s been over two months since the last serious post.  An unexpected death in the family and a work schedule from the lower depths of Hell has not been conducive to writing.

During this time, there have been many events that have happened worldwide.  As much as I would like to comment on them all in depth, that is almost impossible.  So let’s address the situation on the Southern border of the United States.

Illegal immigration to the United States has always been a problem.  It really does not matter which political party is in power – the posturing has been immense, the actions little.  The current “crisis” is only the latest in a long line of political inaction and dithering.

Let’s keep in mind that there is very little wrong with the current immigration laws.  A person must apply to immigrate to the United States, be vetted, and go through the process to become a citizen of the United States.  What is wrong is the administration and enforcement of the current laws.

Both political parties try to cozy up to the Hispanic community because they represent the majority of the illegal immigrants coming into this country.  For example, the term “illegal immigrants” has been changed to “undocumented worker” to change a politically incorrect term to something softer.  If the term is softer, then there is more leniency in enforcing laws because the laws can then be seen as unjust.  So now the “undocumented workers” are now portrayed as heroic people defying all odds and an unjust system to secure a better life for themselves and their children.

The “crisis” at the Southern border is thus portrayed as a humanitarian issue.  It is not.  It is a crisis that is a quest for political power by the political parties by raising the issue every election cycle.  The parties posture for and pander to the free immigration crowd for votes.  The issue drags on and on, and does not end because once the politicians are elected, the issue is ignored until the next election cycle.

From my perspective, our politicians put the interests of their political party first, and the security of the country last.  The “crisis” of immigration reform is not about solving the problem, but promoting the problem for votes.  The result is that the security of our country is at risk.  Consider the following…

In another part of the world, ISIS has come to power through horrific means.  Their stated goal is to convert the rest of the world to their brand of Islam by the point of the sword and gun, and vow death to any unbeliever or those that oppose them.  If taken at their word, they have stated that they will bring their quest to the United States.

Now up until the graphic death of James Foley, our media and political elite has mostly dismissed these threats.  But after the execution of one of their own, the media lost their collective minds.  After all, aren’t journalists exempt from such treatment?  Which reminds me of the following excerpts from a post in 2006:

I watched the Glenn Beck special in which Islamic Extremism was featured. The images presented in this program as created by the Muslim clergy, news, and entertainment media were most disturbing. It’s not easy to watch crowds being whipped into a frenzy, chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” Nor is it reassuring that people considered to be “infidels” are not considered to be people, but must be killed wherever they are found. And let’s not talk about what they really think of the Jewish people and Israel simply because it is so dehumanizing as to be ridiculous.

What bothers me the most is that our media ignores the reality of this threat. We do not hear of or read about very often the anti-American & anti-Israeli rhetoric, calling for the destruction of our respective countries. Nor is it brought to the forefront that they truly hate us with all of their hearts, and wish nothing but death for us…

…Whether we like it or not, I believe that the Islamic terrorists are going to do their damnest to make this into a religious war from whatever it can be called now. They will use the classic good vs. evil argument, an us-vs.-them conflict in the name of a jihad (religious war, for those of you in Rio Linda). They will plot, plan, and execute attacks that will cause large numbers of casualties. And the elitist idiots among us will wring their hands crying, “We don’t understand! We were talking!” Understand this, you Brie-eaters – there are people in the world that want to kill you just for the reason that you exist!!

Does any of the above from almost six years ago sound familiar?  It should, because that is exactly what is happening today.  ISIS is declaring war on the rest of the unbelieving world in the name of their god.

Now we have that established, where do you think that they will come into this country to attack from within?  If you have guessed our semi-unprotected Southern border, you would be correct.  This is infiltration 101 and Sun Tzu rolled up into one – go where your enemy is weakest and strike hard to confuse, disorient, disable, and discourage.

The Administration of the President of the United States is responsible for enforcing the Laws of the United States as passed by Congress.  The laws concerning immigration enforcement are no different from any other laws.  However, this President has chosen to loosen or ignore various provisions of the immigration laws, and has further directed through Executive Orders (of which the legality is in question) to alter said laws.  The result is increased activity along our border, overwhelming what few Border Patrol Agents are there.  And the Administration’s response is to ship the illegal immigrants all over the country for “processing”, for which very few will ever show up in court.

Our government via the Office of the President with the consent of Congress is responsible for securing this nation from foreign powers, and this includes preventing invasion & infiltration by non-citizens over our borders.  This is not a humanitarian or immigration issue, rather, this is a security issue.  This country cannot have a open or porous border and expect to continue to thrive.

Stop to think about this for a minute:  Our economy is on the ropes, and is barely recovering.  There are many people either unemployed or underemployed looking for better job opportunities to return to the standard of living before everything tanked.  And now our government, for “humanitarian reasons”, wants to toss another five to ten million people onto the unemployment and job-searching rolls?  Is that insane and/or incompetent?  Or as I’ve stated, an attempt to garner political power?

But at what price?  Allowing terrorists free passage in addition to the economic hit is not in the best interests of this country by any stretch of the imagination.

This is why the midterm elections are so critical this year.  This is why we need to support and vote people into office that will stop the insanity.  The second part of this is to hold them accountable to their campaign promises.  Otherwise, I fear that this country of ours will be irreparably damaged.

You wanna see what our military thinks of the Politicians?

You really think you know what our military thinks of Obama and the rest of the politicians in Washington. I won’t say much in this post because this letter, from an active Green Beret says it all. The writer of this letter is still an active US Army Special Forces member therefore, his name is being withheld. However, his opinion is the farthest thing from being held back- Via The Havok Journal .

“To the political leaders of America,

I write to you today regarding my concerns about the current state in which we find our beloved planet and your efforts in resolving the many issues we face.

Over the last decade, we have MANAGED to allow our mighty position at the head of the table to dwindle down to a seat at the kids table, with our counsel being received as if it were that of a child making a suggestion on how to cure the world of evil: everyone thinks it is adorable, but no one takes it seriously.

To put it politely, you all are about as successful in global politics as an overweight middle-aged American with a severe case of tetanus trying to perform fellatio on himself.

Understanding that you have the attention span of indigenous forces undergoing rifle training, I give you the options of either reading this letter in its entirety or simply skipping to the last two paragraphs.

Sadly, you neither get the reference about indigenous forces (ask your COLLEGE EDUCATED SMEs and think tanks) nor are you capable of making a decision on what to do next. Go ahead and post a tweet asking for thoughts/advice and hashtag this out with the others. #hashtaggingworldproblemsisabsurd #noseriouslystopit #itisridiculousandembarrassing You have time, this letter will still be here.

Due your ineptitude in your decisions with regard to who we back with foreign aid, and your complete lack of a spine in dealing with global threats, we find ourselves, for the first time in ages, being looked at with eyes filled with disdain and disrespect.

The mere mention of ‘America’ leaves a bad taste in the mouths of our friends and allies. The prospects of being saved by our once-great nation are now nothing more than a fleeting thought in the hearts and minds of Third World Country natives who dream of a life with fewer hardships than ones they currently face—hardships that could be vanquished by the hands of a great nation and its allies.

We have entered into a time in which it is not only possible to spread one’s hate filled rhetoric, it is also actually profitable and protected. Your understanding and misinterpretations of our founding freedoms are being used and twisted to further your own political agendas without any consideration for the people you are meant to represent.

Your understanding (or lack thereof) of our Constitution contributes to the complete madness of a country that is run where someone’s RIGHTS to desecrate the flag that represents these very freedoms is more important than the patriotic peoples who stand to protect it. Allowing people to lose houses or be fined for flying the American flag on their property due to it offending someone or being against a housing covenants is beyond ludicrous. It’s both absurd and frightening. These are just a few examples of countless rights that are being used to tear the very fabric of which this country is founded.

You see, all of you have forgotten the very key that makes this country work. You fight for one’s freedoms to express their beliefs regardless of where their loyalties lie. Using our very own founding documents, you argue that it is ones right to speak and act freely on their beliefs, regardless of their view of this great nation.

For fear of offending someone to pure political motivations, you stand up for the very people that wish to tear you down. What you, as well as most Americans have forgotten is this: Those individual rights end where others begin! It may be ones right to protest a certain religions display or another’s stance on certain political views, however, it is also the others right to display and have those stand points.

If one is offended by a shirt displayed with an image of a gun, a flag of our nation, a statue representing their faith in their chosen religion or any other example; that is their right to be offended and speak out. However, it is the others right to wear that shirt, fly that flag, display that statue or whatever else they wish to do. Freedom cannot be one-sided. The complete madness of political correctness is overwhelming.

You have stripped away our 1st Amendment RIGHTS by disguising it as political correctness and making the very people that make this country great afraid of offending any and everyone. I use these examples in our own country as the catalyst that has spawned our current position on the global stage.

Through political motivation or just complete incompetence, your methods of governing our country have clouded your views and thought processes for helping forge a united world. We stand at the table, with weak knees and shivering hands. Our word as a nation holding as much weight as that of our President doing curls in the gym. We have all seen the video…

We live in a world where you can contest our very lands with flyovers without consequence. A world where one can sweep through two entire countries, massacring everyone along the way with no fear repercussions. One where sanctions and empty threats are wielded as a mighty sword against the very enemies that threaten our existence. You fail to see that in today’s world, the pen is not mightier than the sword.

You have demonstrated this time and time again over the last 13 years. Take Afghanistan for example. Politics alone have been the source of Taliban resurgence. How could this be? Let me school you. In 2001, a mixture of CIA, Special Forces and other Special Operations Forces (SOF), in very limited numbers, swept through the entire country of Afghanistan, demolishing the Taliban forces that stood in its way. Thinking that the back had been broken, we backed off and brought more and more ground forces in the country.

As time went on, more and more troops arrived and operational control was taken away from the Special Operations types, to make way for conventional commands. Along with this came more and more restricted Rules of Engagement.

Fast forward to 2006. Following more political moves and further NATO control, we found ourselves in an Afghanistan where the freedom of movement for the insurgents is unprecedented in Operation Enduring Freedom—a freedom of movement that not only limits NATO troops ground movements, but also has even the hardest of SOF elements avoiding a drive into Kandahar City. So, NATO asked the US to help. Enter into the timeline, Operation Medusa.

US Special Forces demolished the insurgent forces to the point that insurgent operations in the entire country dropped. The morale of the insurgents also dropped to an all time low, the grounds upon which the new Afghan Government stands, are once again sturdy. Now, fast forward to present day.

What has happened? Are the insurgents in Afghanistan fleeing and backs broken? Far from it. All of this due to your politics. The war effort drawn down to a near standstill due to more and more pointless commands and approval process. All, in which serve to help some pointless commander to further his career and push some pointless political agenda.

You see, the current world in which we find ourselves isn’t one that can be tamed by the pen. The evils of the world find protection behind the shield of your politics. This is due to one simple fact. You have no clue how to play this game. You listen and make decisions based of your Subject Matter Experts who read about war in a book. You base your strategies on the opinions of ‘Think Tanks’ and conventional wisdom. The answers to these problems being spoken by the men on the ground only to be silenced by ‘yes men’. Due to this, you will continue to fail.

Not only will you fail in Afghanistan, you will fail in bringing peace and security back into this world. All of these failures will be caused by you because of one simple factor: none of you have the intestinal fortitude to do what is necessary. You will use your own misguided experiences and delusions gained in your failures in governing our own country as the grounds on which you base your strategies. But understand this, you can’t defeat evil with butterflies and rainbows. And you sure as hell can’t do it with pens and empty words.

Face it, for the most part, our Foreign Policy is a joke and your efforts on the global stage are nothing short of pathetic. Not going into the fact that you all are voted in for the people by the people to do a JOB, a job in which you are failing. At least you all aren’t receiving a ridiculous paycheck and benefits package for providing a public service. oh wait…

Our saving grace is that there are still a handful of you that will find this, as frustrating as it is, accurate and motivating. But, then again, if that was the case, then we wouldn’t find ourselves in this situation. Oh the conundrum. We have faith in our abilities as a nation. We have faith in our abilities in unconventional war as well as faith in our ability to destroy the current threats to the world given the freedoms and support required to do so.

So, I write to you today calling you out. You have failed. It is time to hand that Capri Sun and straw over before you put your eye out. You’ve been poking at that hole for some time now. You gave it your best lil buddies, but it’s time. Pull those trainers up around your waist, latch down the VELCRO, and watch how real men fight wars.

It is time to unleash the hounds. You have had over a decade of war filled with warriors that would gladly step up and fight. These former SERVICE MEMBERS are battle hardened and ready. More importantly, they understand the game. We stand at the gates, waiting to smite all that is evil in this world. You will not defeat the current evils in this world by playing your political chess games because it is spreading at an alarming rate. Unleash us. Back us. Stand behind us.

History has shown us that evil is only successful when the righteous stand aside and do nothing. Let us SHOW the world that it will not tolerate the likes of ISIS or Boko Haram. That there most certainly are repercussions for committing atrocities. Justice will come to them swift and brutal. Step aside and let us do what is necessary! We stand ready!”

See what I mean folks? This person laid it all out. It is time we started thinking, instead of running on our desires and feelings. That is what has gotten us into this mess. And running on those things will NOT get us out of this mess.

Mainstream Media: No truth…Just The Building of a Narrative

When I first went into printing in 1976, my thoughts were, that I would love being in the business because of the freedom of the press and the ability to get out the news. Little did I know how little truth was actually in the news. To reporters and editors of the major newspapers around the nation and the media at large, the truth matters little, to the sensationalism that they can capture the people’s attention with. Ferguson, Missouri and Governor Rick Perry are two such examples.

In Ferguson, the truth of the matter, didn’t give anyone fits for checking when it came to reporting. All they could think about was to go there, and then find all the people who were rioting, and interview them as protestors because of an ‘unarmed black teen’ that was “gunned down” by a white police officer. The truth of the matter didn’t seem to matter to these people, until the new media got it out that this same “gentle giant” had minutes before strong arm robbed a store, and when the police stopped him for it, he resisted and attacked the officer who shot him.

The fact that Michael Brown had done these things didn’t even come out for days after the fact, while the media did everything they could to destroy the reputation of the cops. It was the narrative that the media and the left in this country were interested in.

Then, on thursday, after a week of relentless UNREPORTING on this incident, after the truth started to get in the way, the media dropped the story and went on to the next one to destroy. And yes folks that is what the mainstream media does on a daily basis. And no one calls them on it. I am calling them on it now, as did some of the talk show hosts here in Indianapolis did. Tony Katz comes to mind.

When it comes to what was happening in Ferguson, the media was replacing words. They were calling the looters that were going stark raving mad there, protestors. Let me get this one straight. LOOTERS ARE NOT PROTESTERS!

Protesting is something that I support. They are protesting something that should be changed or they think should be changed, so they peacefully protest and try to get their ideas out there. This is something that is protected by the Constitution. PERIOD!
Looting on the other hand is criminal. When you are looting, you are NOT protesting. YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW, and that is not protected by our Constitution, or our laws folks. Get this right for once. Here is what Tony Katz said on this subject, and he is spot on.

Now I have one more thing to say about Ferguson, Missouri. People are using the word protester in the place of looter and looter in the place of protester. They’re not the same thing. Protesters are people who are enjoying their first amendment rights. I support those people. You may not like what they’re protesting or why they’re protesting, but they absolutely have the right to protest. If you’re opposed to their right to protest, my goodness which amendments do you think people should be allowed to use?

Only for the ones you like, or only for the causes you think are acceptable?

The looters are a much different story. Looters are people who think that just because they are angry, they’re entitled to destroy property, break into stores and steal. No amount of anger, on any subject gives you the right to steal the property of others. Theft is NOT an allowable response to being angry. You’re entitled to your feelings, you’re just not entitled to take the stuff of somebody else because of it.
When we see shop owners, in Ferguson, who show up to their stores with guns, we shouldn’t be shocked. We should be standing up and applauding. Because they are willing to protect their property, and they’re willing to protect their livelihood. Including, of course, those that that livelihood takes care of.
The police should be doing a far better job in Ferguson, whether it be the Ferguson PD, the St. Louis county or the Missouri State highway Patrol.
But in the end people need to actually take care of themselves. And that is why we need to applaud the business owners who are doing just that. As for the looters. They’re not protesters. They’re criminals. They’re stealing. They shouldn’t be surprised to see what happens to them if they try to steal.

Amen to that sir. But sadly, that is not the direction we are going here. And when the media finally has to get it right because all the so called “facts” that they have been reporting all along are being proven false, they stop, get silent on the subject and move on with total impunity to the lies that they were telling, and not one apology to the ones they dissed during their tirade of lies told about all involved.

But it goes farther than that. Remember how race baiter extraordinaire Al Sharkton was there and telling everyone how things need to change because this cop had no right to do what he did, and the “poor gentle giant” of a black teen was viciously and callously murdered? I can show you just how wrong Sharkton and Jackson always are.

On the campus of Texas A&M white students were beaten to death by a black mob outside of a McDonalds there. And did you hear Al Sharkton speaking out on the injustice done there? Oh you didn’t? NO YOU DIDN’T because the color of the person whose blood was spilled was not the right color…..and the ones spilling the blood? NOT THE RIGHT COLOR EITHER. From comes this.

White Texas A&M Students Beaten to Death by Black Mob Outside McDonalds…Race Huslters Nowhere to be Found…

— You won’t be surprised to learn the media scrubbed the race of the attackers.

Via American Thinker:

To the four clean-cut college freshman out on a double date, it had seemed like a typical McDonald’s: spanking clean, well-lighted, and safe. It was in a good neighborhood too, right next to Texas A&M University in College Station — a campus known for its friendly atmosphere and official down-home greeting: “howdy.”
Shortly after 2 A.M. that Sunday, they pulled into the parking lot of so-called “University McDonald’s” and beheld a scene unlike anything portrayed in all those wholesome McDonald’s television commercials. Before them, hundreds of young black males were loitering about, some without shirts.
Other local residents — the more cynical and world-weary, both whites and most blacks — would have taken one look at the crowd and driven off, dismissing many of the young and posturing black males as thugs. But not them: innocent white kids from the suburbs. They presumed this was post-racial America — and that they were in an easy-going college town.
Twenty minutes later, two of them were dead.
Incredibly, the race of the assailants was scrubbed from local news coverage; and utterly missing from tersely written wire-service stories about a Brazos County jury’s whopping $27 million negligence verdict on July 30 against “University McDonald’s” — an outlet owned by the Oak Brook, Illinois-based fast-food giant.

Now I know, I haven’t been writing here as much as I was a while back because now I am working 10 hours a day and find I have little time to come here. But when things are going as insane as they are in this world and this country, something has to be said. And this thing on the beheading of the American photojournalist in the middle east? Don’t get me started on that one. But started I will get with my next post. We are in a war folks….it’s time we started acting like we are. Both here and abroad.

Are we SCARED Yet?

We have 8 billion of us Muslim Americans in this country and I don’t see them represented here. But my question is how can we fight an ideological war with weapons. How can we ever end this war…the jihadist ideology that you talk about, how can we ever win this thing if we don’t address it ideologically?
Saba Ahmed – Law student at an American University, on a Heritage Foundation Panel-

Now this is a good question folks, but I have to say, even though the media pushed this as mocking this student, the answer was equally as good, and used historical context to make the answer great. The panelist of the Heritage Foundation who gave the answer was Bridget Gabriel Here is what she said:

Ms Gabriel not only used logic to answer this lady, she used common sense. It is like I have said many times folks. Forget your past and you are doomed to repeat it. And sadly, we are forgetting our past. Too quickly for words.

God Bless America
God Bless our Troops
God Bless us all to use our common sense.
