It’s Continuing: The Governmental Abuse of Power

Democracy and Power 101: Government is Power
The .. essence of Government is power; and power, lodged as it must be in human hands, will ever be liable to abuse.
—James Madison-, speech in the Virginia State Convention of 1829-1830

We have at this point in time extreme abuse of governmental power evident. At least it is evident to everyone who doesn’t follow and support our president and what he does to this country. The reason being is that we here on the right are being picked and chosen for scrutiny based on the ideals of the person, or company. The government is overstepping its Constitutional bounds now by leaps and bounds and it seems they don’t think they are doing anything wrong.

From FreedomWorks comes this article titled Continuing Abuse of Power: The IRS Harrassment and Benghazi Fraud, written by Ted Abram on May 16, 2013:

Presently in America, the abuse of governmental power is extremely evident. Harassment by the IRS and the fraud of Benghazi are two distinct, and ugly, examples of government’s horrific abuse of power. Worse, governmental elites are protecting the perpetrators and continuing to thwart the truth.

The Internal Revenue Service:

The IRS confessed to targeting both conservative and libertarian political groups. Intentionally using the coercive power of government, the IRS has investigated and harassed groups that challenged government ranging from “tea party” activists to people concerned about debt. The Wall Street Journal reports:

The Internal Revenue Service’s scrutiny of conservative groups went beyond those with “tea party” or “patriot” in their names—as the agency admitted Friday—to also include ones worried about government spending, debt or taxes, and even ones that lobbied to “make America a better place to live,” according to new details of a government probe.

Benghazi Fraud:

Benghazi involves the deliberate concealing of the truth by our government. Twelve revisions of the “talking points” were all but scrubbed of references to Muslim terrorists, while Americans were simultaneously misled by Obama, Clinton, Rice and Carney, who repeatedly claimed the murders were a result of a spontaneous violence caused by a YouTube video.

One of many false statement’s by Jay Carney, from an official White House briefing, is as follows:

We also need to understand that this is a fairly volatile situation and it is in response not to United States policy, not to obviously the administration, not to the American people. It is in response to a video, a film that we have judged to be reprehensible and disgusting. That in no way justifies any violent reaction to it, but this is not a case of protests directed at the United States writ large or at U.S. policy. This is in response to a video that is offensive to Muslims.

Further, Carney emphasized there was no indication of a preplanned attack.

A reporter asked Carney: “At Benghazi?”

MR. CARNEY: We certainly don’t know. We don’t know otherwise. We have no information to suggest that it was a preplanned attack. The unrest we’ve seen around the region has been in reaction to a video that Muslims, many Muslims find offensive. And while the violence is reprehensible and unjustified, it is not a reaction to the 9/11 anniversary that we know of, or to U.S. policy.

Now, eight months since the Benghazi Fraud, a power-player or a combination of players in the White House, State Department and the CIA continue to thwart and conceal the truth by claiming to protect “national security” and refusing to release documents. Following is a report from ABC News:

White House emails reviewed by ABC News suggest the edits were made with extensive input from the State Department. The edits included requests from the State Department that references to the Al Qaeda-affiliated group Ansar al-Sharia be deleted as well references to CIA warnings about terrorist threats in Benghazi in the months preceding the attack.

The IRS Harassment and the Benghazi Fraud are horrific examples of government’s abuse of power. Poignantly, the “tea party” rebellion is an overwhelming grassroots reaction against the abuse of government – the debt, ObamaCare, undeclared wars, excessive spending and more.

These abuses are why America’s Founders declared their independence from England and the need to limit and disperse the power of government. Our Founders understood the universal quest to obtain and abuse the power of government. President Madison once said: The … essence of Government is power; and power, lodged as it must be in human hands, will ever be liable to abuse.

The IRS Harassment and the Benghazi Fraud are manifestations of thousands of abuses by our government. Presently, the our federal government is too big, too complicated, too powerful to be good, fair and honorable. By significantly reducing the size and reach of our government, we will reduce its abuse of power.

We the People must renew America’s commitment to limit and disperse the power of government. Outrageously, limiting the reach and abuse of government was the crux of the peaceful rebellion by the “tea party” and “patriots,” which the IRS Harassment intended to crush.

Folks, the IRS harassment of Liberty minded people should worry all of us. If they get away with this, it will be just the first step to the next set of abuses that they will attempt. We have to remember here, that the government uses this “step by step” approach to find out what it can and cannot do. It doesn’t use the constitution, which lays it out word by word, because they *the left* do not believe in the constitution because it limits them too much on what they can do to us. So, they take our ignorance of what we know about what is in the Constitution, and they run these “hit and run” tactics on us the people until they find something that they get stopped on, then, they try to figure out how to get around it. When they do, they move on to the next one.

That is the main reason that I have been saying for years now that this country is in trouble. With us, when we are stopped, we stop. With the left and Obama, when they are stopped, they go back to the drawing board and figure out a way around getting stopped, then they attack on that point again…and again….and again, till they succeed. It’s time we stopped them for good. This country’s future completely depends on us doing that.

We need to repeal ObamaCare completely. We need to stop them in their America destroying tracks. We need to stop their insane spending of our money……and the time has come for us to start doing that, without any questions asked. The time is now! Or we won’t have a country to raise our children in.

God Bless America
God Bless our Troops
The time is now!
