The same 15-year-old girls who in many places cannot legally have a bottle of Advil with them in school, are now entirely authorized to walk into a pharmacy anywhere and pick up the morning-after birth control pill. The FDA actually authorized the 15-year-olds. The judge didn’t want any age limit at all, if you want to know the truth. The judge didn’t want any age limit. The FDA set the age limit at 15. If the FDA had not stepped in, a 10-year-old could have walked in and picked up the morning-after birth control pill.
You still think the government is there to protect us???? I have several stories here that happened this week, that should take that silly notion out of your heads. The Government as elected, is NOT there for us. They are only there as a means to take our freedoms away and make sure that our God-given rights are not ours anymore.
Colorado: A pro-gun billboard that features images of Native Americans is drawing both contempt and support in Colorado. ‘Turn in your arms. The government will take care of you,’ the sign says. Normally, this would just give some people pause for thought, but with the way our government under Barack Obama has made things, people are now up in arms about a billboard that, though telling the absolute truth here, is now a controversy. So we are seeing the rise of the truth becoming a bad thing.
Washington DC: Harry Reid is at it again. Obamacare isn’t costing enough money. According to him, the only thing that will make Obamacare anything but a train wreck, is we have to spend more money! Of course Harry Reid says that. He is exempt from ObamaCare, and the money he is talking about doesn’t come out of his pockets. He is one of the ones in Washington DC that is so out of touch with the way life really works, that I doubt if he will ever relearn it…even if he gets put back in the private sector and has to make his own way again. Something he and ones like him, like Pelosi, McCain, Graham, Kerry, Schumer and others haven’t had to do for TOO LONG NOW.
I think that if an elected official starts to forget what it is like to struggle and make ends meet, they need to be taken out of office!!! Most in Washington now fit that bill.
Sacramento, California: FoxNews reports that the Cops have come in and taken a baby from the parents because a doctor said the baby needed open heart surgery right away, and the parents went after a second opinion on this. It didn’t matter that the second opinion went 180° away from the first opinion, the parents were wrong for this. HUH??? Can you spell “you don’t have any freedoms anymore?” This goes right in line with the idiot a few weeks ago who said that we are mistaken in the idea that our kids are our kids. Of course not. The government now wants to take all our freedoms away and our rights, and make us invalids who depend 100% on the government for everything. When are we going to put a stop to this?
In another idiotic thing, out of Houston, reported on Fox, came this story of a student who’se team was disqualified after winning because a student pointed his finger to the sky while raising his hand over his head, in celebration of winning.
Some people are outraged after a high school track team is disqualified from competing in state finals because one runner made a religious gesture. In just a few seconds the boys Columbus High School 4 X 100 relay team went from winning the regional meet, heading to state championships to having it all stripped away. How did the “W” so quickly become “DQ”? Well. when the anchor of the relay team crossed the finish line, he won the race, raised his finger to the sky and that gesture caused the winning regional’s relay team to be disqualified.
“It’s a sad deal. I think it’s a travesty. Those kids work hard,” says K.C. Hayes. Hayes’ son Derrick Hayes is the runner who won the race then pointed to God, turning a once in a lifetime opportunity into a huge heartbreak that will likely last his lifetime. “As a team they reached their goal and in an instant it was just gone, over something we think is a non-issue. I guess someone else thinks it is an issue. He just said dad I was pointing at the heavens” says K.C. Hayes.
A judge with the University Interscholastic League or UIL, which enforces the rules for high school athletics, was there at the meet in Kingsville and made the call to disqualify the four member relay team. “For those kids the work they put in, what are we teaching them? Ok you’re going to sacrifice, work hard and do everything it takes and ok it’s just ripped away,” says Hayes.
“It’s a harsh consequence for what some people may deem a small gesture. The rule states no celebratory gestures including raising your arms,” explains Columbus I.S.D. Superintendent Robert O’Connor. According to the UIL the relay team was disqualified for “unsporting conduct”. The UIL also points out, it does not have a rule prohibiting religious expression. “You can do whatever you want to in terms of prayer, kneeling or whatever you want to once you get out of the competition area. You just can’t do it in the competition area. It goes back to the taunting rule. I can’t taunt my opponent,” O’Connor explains.
“It’s not a malicious act. It’s not a taunting act. It’s a ‘we did it’ and he (my son) knows where the source comes from. I know him. He’s not a malicious kid. On the football field he’ll hit you and then help you up,” Hayes says.
We also have to realize, that as a christian nation, which we are, no matter what Obama has to say about it….is being changed drastically by Obama. For the national day of prayer, which presidents usually say something about, Obama has changed this to his way. Not mentioning God unless it is impossible not too, and not saying the things that has always been said. President Bush said this, remember?:
“By surrendering our lives to our loving Father,” Bush said in his 2008 statement, “we learn to serve His eternal purposes, and we are strengthened, refreshed, and ready for all that may come.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.”
Bush routinely referred to references to the Christian faith, and Bush’s comments also included references to the Bible. He cited Psalm 28:7.
But this year, Obama didn’t.
From WND came this about Obama’s speech:
Obama emulated some of those ideas in his first proclamation, in 2009, citing the prayers of the Continental Congress and President Lincoln’s call for prayer during the Civil War.
But he started turning the next year, mentioning “God” only twice, asking for “blessings” and “guidance.”
The closest reference to the nation’s Christian heritage was a reference that the U.S. “counts freedom of conscience and free exercise of religion among its most fundamental principles.”
This year though, his text includes “faith” only to reference it as “our faith” and recognizes “God” only for delivering liberties and guidance. The nation’s Christian heritage is referenced only in his statement that “the earliest settlers prayed that they would ‘rejoice together, mourn together, labor, and suffer together, always having before our eyes our commission and community in the work.”
“Regardless of religion or creed, Americans reflect on the sacredness of life and express their sympathy for the wounded, offering comfort and holding up a light in an hour of darkness,” said the president.
This brings us to the Unconstitutional part of the title. Representative Michelle Bachmann said it best when she said that the future of the nation appears to be up to Christians.
This is so true folks. We have allowed the media, the left and the politicians to change everything from parents rights, to what is right and what is wrong, and what our freedoms are supposed to be, and changing what the Constitution says. We have to stop this trend…..we are running out of time. The point of no return is in view, because think of it……everything I have listed here as being something normal today by the media and our government, 10 years ago would have been deemed impossible, and would never happen.
If anyone had said any of these things would happen, they would have been laughed out of the building. PERIOD! But today, thanks to politicians like Reid, Obama, Pelosi, Kerry, Schumer, Kennedy, McCain and others, the media and the government can pass all this off as normal, when in fact, it isn’t. Soon our rights to say things like I have in this post, will be gone forever if we do not change the leadership and the media and what they want us to do. That is still in our hands…….for now.
God Bless America
God Bless our Troops
God Bless us to do the right thing.
