We Are not Idiots….but the left thinks we are……

Based on a recent article of his in Rolling Stone, the event is essentially a lecture circuit based on a single premise: climate change is simple math—and the numbers do not look good. If immediate action isn’t taken by global leaders: “It’s game-over for the planet.”
-Journalist, climate change activist Bill McKibben on his “Do the Math” tour-

They are at it again. I remember in the 1970’s the premise for global warming was that if we didn’t change the way we are doing things, the world would be uninhabitable by the year 2000!. That was 12 years ago now, and we are still here. And, to top it off, most of the changes they were saying we needed to make…..have been made. Proving to everyone if they remember what is being said, the left and the global warming idiots are never happy……even when they get what they want.

This climate change idiot, Bill McKibben is now saying the same thing that the GW people have been saying, and proven wrong, for almost a century now. But they are not about to give up. There is too much money involved in this farce to stop now. After all, they can always find some person to say what they want, and then they can get away with saying it is the consensus of all scientists, without impunity.

Even when someone comes out and refutes what they say, the media will not report it thinking that not reporting means no one will know about it. What a joke. Ever hear of the new media?

The mainstream media just can’t seem to get it through their skulls that the reason they are losing readership is because they do not report the truth. Especially if it doesn’t fit they’re agenda, and the agenda of the left.

Which brings me to the latest thing that comes from this jokester, Bill McKibben. His “global warming is going to destroy this world” tour, inappropriately named “Do the Math” is just another in the long line of people who are trying to force us to live the way they want us too, while they continue living the way they do, usually with the biggest carbon footprints out there; the thing they say is destroying this world.

Remember some years ago, Al Gore sending out photos of Polar Bears who are drowning because the ice they inhabit was melting and they had to swim for miles to get to another? The fact that was never put in there, is when ice is melting on one pole, it is usually getting thicker on the other. And, Polar bears are some of the best and strongest swimmers in the world. Swimming miles to go somewhere is nothing for these amazing animals. They can do it without even raising their heart rate. God made them that way.

The thing that people like Al Gore and Bill McKibbens never say, is that the climate on this earth is cyclical. Always has been. It will warm…then it will cool. But the global warming people are telling us that global warming is happening even when it is predicted that the climate is cooling down. Which it is now folks.

The math, McKibben explained, works like this. Global leaders recently came to an international agreement based on the scientific understanding that a global temperature increase of 2°C would have “catastrophic” consequences for the future of humanity. In order to raise global temperatures to this catastrophic threshold, the world would have to release 565 gigatons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Here’s the problem: Fossil fuel companies currently have 2,795 gigatons of carbon dioxide in their fuel reserves—and their business model depends on that fuel being sold and burned. At current rates of consumption, the world will have blown through its 565-gigaton threshold in 16 years.

To prevent the end of the world as we know it, it will require no less than the death of the most profitable industry in the history of humankind.

“As of tonight,” McKibben said, “we’re going after the fossil fuel industry.”

Now do you see where this is going? They are going after the gasoline automobile! Which means, electric cars again are going to be pushed as the thing that Americans want to have, which of course they aren’t.

No one on the global warming side brings up the point that 98% of our electricity is coming from coal, or another one of the fossil fuels around, another thing that Obama and the left and the global warming idiots say has to go. And what does the electric cars use? Why they use electricity, that will take them 40 miles before they have to be recharged again.

This brings us to the other point. The left wants to take our freedom of movement away from us. Having a car that will go 40 miles before it has to stop to recharge again for 8 hours will effectively do that. Global warming has been refuted over and over and over again. But, that doesn’t stop them from trying to convince us that we are destroying this world’s climate by burning fossil fuels to get us around.

All I can say to this people, is stop being so short memoried, and call these idiots on their stupid ideas for all of us. Every time someone comes and says what Bill McKibben or Al Gore says, someone, or everyone, needs to call them on it and tell them that this has been refuted.

It is a good idea to be good to our environment, and we are now much better at that than we were twenty years ago…..though you will never hear that fact from the global warming people. Because it doesn’t fit they’re agenda. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? The left, the media, Global Warming…all a part of the same thing. The left’s ideal to control what we do, and how we do it. The sooner we get that through our thick skulls, the sooner we will stop doing stupid things like voting them back into office, and listening to them when they spout their idiocy.

If you want to read more on global warming and what it really is, look up Thomas Sowell’s The Great Global Warming Swindle. It shows the proof that Global Warming is a hoax. Always has been and always will be. We are doing what we can to clean up our air. Check out photos of Los Angeles now, as compared to the 1960s. You can see the difference. The air is cleaner now….by far.

May God Bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country
God Bless America, Bless all Americans, and bless us to begin using more common sense.

NOTE: I said that 98% of electricity comes from coal. From the site I was looking at, 42% of our electricity comes from coal….so I was wrong…but, and here is the big one….98% of our electricity comes from fossil fuels….which still poses the same problem. The democrats and the liberals and the progressives want to get rid of them. PERIOD.

About Robert P. Garding

I am a Reagan Conservative, who is very alarmed at the Liberals who have just lost their majority over our government, but continue to act like it never happened. They have to be stopped. NOW or even sooner.

“No one on the global warming side brings up the point that 98% of our electricity is coming from coal..”

Where exactly did that tidbit of information come from? Did our coal generation suddenly double from 2007 levels? I think what you meant to say was that coal is responsible for 34% of our electricity (and dropping) as of March according to the EIA.

There are some order of magnitude differences between 34% and 98%. Not to mention that regardless of a changing climate, coal power is an antiquated, outmoded form of energy production that causes harm to Americans in ways that have proven themselves time and time again. Is the air and water cleaner now than it was 50 years ago? Absolutely, but that mean’s we’re doing it better, not doing it right. We’re certainly not doing “what we can.” Allowing Americans to pollute our water and air only hurts Americans.

As far as I am concerned, sustainability is not a goal for taking away American freedoms. It’s goal is one of education to make sure that Americans have as much information as possible to make educated decisions.
reply from Robert: You didn’t read it right. I said that 98% of our electricity comes from coal. Not 98% of our energy. But what you said is wrong too. 42% of our electricity comes from coal….I was wrong….but the rest of our electricity comes from fossil fuels too…so the problem is still the same. Fossil fuels are something the left wants to get rid of.

  2. “Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this pettty pace from day to day. To the last syllable of recorded time. And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle. Life’s but a walking shadow. A poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage. And then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an IDIOT. Full of sound and fury. Signifying nothing”- William Shakespeare
“Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive”-Sir Walter Scott

After a while I and no doubt you too get sick and tired of hearing day after day after day both the ridiculous stories and the shocking stories emanating from Washington DC and from around the world. Moreso during this administration than in past administrations up to an including the Nixon administration and the Watergate fiasco. The Petraeus Affair with its new revelations, convolutions and contortions reads like a soap opera. The mainstream media should be concentrating on the occurrences in Benghazi and not the occurences in the boudoir. But the playbook, no doubt written by the White House (with the assistance of Hollywood as in Wag the Dog fame) and spoon fed to a complacent, docile and slavish mainstream media are trying to distract everyone from the real story here – the failure to protect 4 Americans serving their country overseas in an unstable city in an unstable country surrounded by a dangerous well-armed enemy. An oft used quote states that for evil to succeed good men (and women) must remain remain silent. Hopefully there are enough good men and women alive today who are dedicated to insuring that the truth about Benghazi is finally revealed.
reply from Robert: You are right. Obama failed miserably in most he has done, and especially with Benghazi. So they do what they always do when they fail….they put the spotlight elsewhere. This time what they have done, is made Benghazi a sex scandal, instead of what it is…..a failure of the white house to do what it was supposed to do. And that was to protect Americans.

This McKibben guy really is stupid. He flat out admits that “we’re going after the fossil fuel industry”, revealing what the global warming movement is really about. He let the proverbial cat out of the bag, apparently thinking we, the people wouldn’t notice. Like I said, stupid. Just like the global warming hysteria.
Reply from Robert: You like that huh? I swear, they think that our memories are as short as theirs are. They don’t remember the things that happened in the 70’s. So they figure we don’t either. The trouble is…most of us don’t. But there are some that do, and hopefully those that do, will start saying things about it.

  4. T. Caine says:

No, I understood you. If you look at the EIA page, in March coal produced 34% of our electricity, not energy (coal actually provides a smaller percentage of our energy because oil provides a much larger portion of energy than electricity). Even in August, coal only provided 38.6% (measured in megawatt hours).

All fossil fuels are not created equal. I think many sustainability proponents would trade all of our coal plants for natural gas, which burns much cleaner and doesn’t have the side effects like effluent releases, asthma rates and dangerous/destructive mining. Sure there are some greens out there that want it all off the table, but that’s not going to happen for where we are right now. Natural gas is a realistic transition into a cleaner energy era.
reply from Robert: Again, you didn’t read what I put. I added to the post, if you would stop trying to make sure that you get your point across that all conservatives are wrong! Read it darn it. I added one more line to it…to make it clearer….and a note at the bottom. This is what I meant, but didn’t put right.
