RNC Convention: Not Selling Romney; But instead, selling Saving America.

The issue is not the economy that Barack Obama inherited, not the economy that he envisions, but this economy that we are living. College graduates should not have to live out their twenties in their childhood bedrooms staring up at fading Obama posters and wondering when they can move out and get going with life.
-Paul Ryan‘s speech at the Convention last night-

It seems that today the Democrats are totally off their game because of the speeches in last nights Convention for the Republicans. You see, the republicans were in rare form last night. The quote from above was from the Paul Ryan speech where he was accepting the nomination for Vice President. It is here in video…

In almost everything he said that told of thing happening, the liberal media today kept having kittens trying to fact check what he was saying, in a few instances made up something to make it sound like he lied. But he didn’t, and at the end of the day, CNN had to admit that.

Ryan didn’t mince words either. He actually spoke of Obama being in the past and not there anymore……

“It all started off with stirring speeches, Greek columns, the thrill of something new. Now all that’s left is a presidency adrift, surviving on slogans that already seem tired, grasping at a moment that is already past, like a ship trying to sail on yesterday’s wind.”

The left doesn’t like the idea of someone speaking like that about their president Obama. the left doesn’t like people like us knowing those things. You are supposed to strive for NO INSPIRATION for great things. You are born, and that is it. You’re born and every stop of your life is directed by the government. That is what Obama and the left believes, and I know the people of this great country do not want that, so it amuses me to no end to hear the polls putting Obama ahead of Romney. Because I do not think that the people of this nation are that dumb.

It showed in the standing ovations that Ryan got last night for saying the things he did, that go totally against what Obama wants. Obama and the left want to keep successful people in their crosshairs and keep them tied down with government regulations and rules. So Ryan goes against that and says,

“And, by the way, being successful in business, that’s a good thing!” He gets thunderous applause there…..all while the left keeps trying to find something to smear his reputation with. They are still looking, but can’t find anything.

He even talked about the youth,

” The issue is not the economy that Barack Obama inherited, not the economy that he envisions, but this economy that we are living. College graduates should not have to live out their twenties in their childhood bedrooms staring up at fading Obama posters and wondering when they can move out and get going with life.” All I could say is OH YEAH!!! You tell them. Because I see it all over. Kids deep in debt from college, and yet, not able to find work to pay off those tremendous debts that schooling gave them. That is one of the things that Obama’s lack of leadership has caused to get worse in this country. It’s time to take the country back and bring back her prosperity.

I hope everyone listened to what he said. It is going to be hard. We have made our bed, we have to lie in it. But we don’t have to keep it bad like it’s going to get. We can do something about it. Vote for America in November and watch America start on the road to a long awaited recovery.

May God Bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country
God Bless America, Bless all Americans, and bless us to start using more common sense.

About Robert P. Garding

I am a Reagan Conservative, who is very alarmed at the Liberals who have just lost their majority over our government, but continue to act like it never happened. They have to be stopped. NOW or even sooner.

“…a ship trying to sail on yesterday’s wind.” Priceless! That’s exactly what Obama’s doing and he thinks most of America is too stupid or too dependent on government to know it. We’ll show him how wrong he is when, as you put it Robert, we “[v]ote for America in November”!
reply from Robert: Exactly. I remember another time when it was this fun to be a Republicans conservative. When Reagan was President. This is going to be a good time for us Conservatives.

I mostly agree with you Robert. But when I watched the GOP Convention, I really did not like Anne Romney’s “Hail Women!” speech, which elevated women as the true “leaders” of this country and the “glue” that holds it all together. I wish she would have spent that time talking about her support of Mitt and his character. I felt like she was selling her soul in order to defeat Obama. The GOP only need to appeal to the base to succeed. Are women really the future of the GOP? Were they trying to convince us that they are progressive and inclusive? I wish I had heard more fight from the speakers. More important issues like unchecked immigration from third-world countries, abortion, out of control spending and deficit, etc.

I was raised by a militant feminist, and realized after I married my husband that things go better when we don’t work against God’s laws. I have spent 30 years trying to erase the lies my mother told me about women’s liberation. We now have more women than men graduating from college and I don’t think this is a good thing. Worship of women is not the answer, nor do I think that the GOP needs to have a response to the “War on Women” charge leveled by the Democrats. I actually like it when men step up to run things! I encourage my husband to do this, and men seem to thrive when they have a good woman behind them. I like to be in the supportive cheerleader role.

I also found it distasteful when Romney talked about how many women and minorities the GOP has elected into government. So what? Gender and race are not job skills. Let’s get back to judging people based on merit and achievement. This is pandering to special interest groups, it is divisive, and makes no sense. It is exactly what the liberals do.

I wish she had spoken more about true issues for Conservatives, like the importance of traditional marriage, pro-life, pro-family, and traditional gender roles and stop trying to outdo the Democrats. Conservative women are smarter than this!
reply from Robert: sadly, I didn’t hear her speech, though from everyone I listen too, they said she was on fire. Now that you have given this perspective, I am going to have to go and find it so I can hear it. *ss* I will let you know what I think on it when I hear what she said. Thanks for commenting on this. Make me be honest here.
