License for Fraud in “new law” push!

The Republican Governor of New Mexico, Susana Martinez, asked the state legislature to repeal a law allowing illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses.
-Rush Limbaugh morning update for January 30, 2012-

Oh my God. Are these politicians ever going to stop and finally start representing the people, like they are supposed to be doing? I have my doubts my friends. I have my doubts. But at least in New Mexico, we have a governor who is trying to do the right thing, even though she will be fought every step of the way on this. And the reason?

From the Rush morning update comes this neat thing:

The Republican Governor of New Mexico, Susana Martinez, asked the state legislature to repeal a law allowing illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses.

To obtain a license under the law, one must have a legal address. But a recent AP investigation found that licenses were granted to almost 50 people claiming to live at an Albuquerque smoke shop; another dozen claimed residency at an auto repair joint. The problem is being blamed on so-called “aging” computers at the DMV office too old to spot fraud.

So far, over 90,000 driver’s licenses have been awarded to “foreign nationals.” It’s impossible to know how many of them are illegal because the state isn’t allowed to ask. And even if they could, the state doesn’t have the technology to figure out if people are lying.

They can’t figure out how many people, claiming to live at smoke shops, auto repair joints, brothels, funeral homes or hair salons, are actually out-of-state illegal aliens who’ve applied for a license in New Mexico to become “legal.”

Once “legal,” people can do all kinds of things. They can get welfare benefits. They can get through the screening system at our nation’s airports and get on a plane, say headed to New York’s financial district, or even the Pentagon. But most of all, and this is why liberal Democrats passed the law in the first place, with proper credentials, illegal aliens can vote! For Democrats. Legally. It’s a license for fraud!

Did you catch that my friends? It is, just like I said politicians trying to do everything they can to destroy our country. Is this getting through to you out there? I actually think not because Romney won Florida tonight.

Americans have got to learn that not every pretty face will be good for this country. And we have to remember what these people have done in the past and what they are doing now.

When it comes to the past, they all have them. Gingrich has his past and he has apologized for it and asked for forgiveness. He is going to church now and is trying to lead by example. Romney on the other hand, hasn’t and isn’t.

What this country needs is a Conservative. And out of all that are left, Romney is NOT it. He is actually Obama lite. But it seems the people can’t keep straight what this country needs. What this country needs people, is not another Obama wanabe. Romney is a big government republican. Big government people like Obama is what has gotten us to the point we are at now.

Questionman, who comments here once in a while, and shows his liberal ass, is a good example of what is wrong with this country. Right now, we need someone who is conservative, wants lower taxes, and smaller government, to take the place of Obama. But Questionman says that Obama has done an excellent job bringing this country back from the abyss that George Bush put us in, never mind the fact that after three years of Obama, the national debt is more than twice what it was when Bush left office. Unemployment is way higher, as it was at 5% when Bush left office and now it is hovering around 9.5%, and Obama is trying to tell us that is the new norm.

He is even trying to say that the Bush tax cuts, which have been in affect for many years now is what is causing the national debt to rise. What a maroon! You can’t raise the national debt by a tax cut that is no longer a tax cut but is the tax law of the land. What is needed sir, is cutting spending in Washington D.C. Period! Cut spending because spending is way to high now. That is what is contributing to the national debt. Not a tax law that is constantly mistakenly referred to as a tax cut. It ceased to be a tax cut the minute it came into law.

We are being lied to people. Like this law in New Mexico. It is controversial because the democrats do not want to lose the base that they have worked so hard to get. The illegals. It is just like Rush said in his morning update. “Once “legal,” people can do all kinds of things. Legally. It’s a license for fraud!” We have to stop falling for all the lies that we are being bombarded with. From every front, and realize the fraud that is being perpetrated on us! We have to start investigating the ones who are running for office, and know what they stand for. Because I doubt if many who voted for Romney tonight know what he stands for.

Here is why Romney scares me.

I am beginning to think that the nature and level of attacks being launched by Mitt Romney against Newt Gingrich, which he would surely use against any conservative threatening his nomination, are going to make it very difficult for Romney to unite the different factions of the GOP and the conservative movement behind his candidacy should he win the nomination. While I have said that I would vote for Rick Santorum, I am appalled at the “anything goes” assault on Gingrich. See here:

Romney is not a conservative in the traditional sense, and he has a record of big-government Republicanism. Even many years after the success of the Reagan administration, he sought to distance himself from Reagan and the GOP, self-identifying as a progressive and independent. Thus, he resorts to spending multi-millions of dollars trashing his opponents, rather than providing thoughtful arguments on conservatism and constitutionalism. Lest we forget, it was Gingrich who was trying to run a positive campaign and who offered to debate Romney one-on-one, asking Romney to stop with the millions in unanswered ads attacking him. Romney declined. I have no doubt that Romney would do the same thing to Santorum if Santorum was rising in the polls, albeit on different issues.

I have said that Romney is in many ways Richard Nixon, and that Romney would not successfully lead efforts to repeal Obamacare but, in fact, would grow the federal government in many respects. Romney’s advisor, former senator Norm Coleman, has now said as much. That is Romney’s record. Despite having been a businessman, he was not a defender of free market capitalism while governor. Romneycare is, as Santorum pointed out, a top-down government health care system with an individual mandate that is breaking Massachusetts’ treasury and destroying private health insurance. It is a disaster. Romney also backed cap-and-trade and TARP (as did Gingrich).

My great fear is, however, that he is the weakest candidate who can face Obama and will go into the general election with a fractured base, thanks to his own character flaws, which are now on display, and his tactics of personal destruction. Moreover, while Romney can swamp his Republican opponents by 3 to 1 or more in every state with his spending advantage, Barack Obama will be raising more and spending more to beat him in the general election, meaning Romney’s financial advantage will be non-existent.

We better start paying a lot more attention to holding the House of Representatives and winning the Senate with a bunch of solid conservatives. I have spent a year on my radio show identifying and interviewing these candidates, and will continue to do so.
-Mark Levin-

This is something that we all have to see, and check into. Mark Levin on his show has been doing it, and as Americans we need to do the same thing, instead of following what the liberal media and their stupid polls tell us.

If we remember back to when Reagan was running for President the polls said he was losing. He didn’t. Remember back to when George W. Bush was running for president, the polls all said that he was losing to Al Gore……he didn’t. These polls are wrong more often than they were ever right. And this is something we have to remember folks. Romney is nothing more than a big government republican, who will give us more of what Obama has. And if we want this nation to succeed past this next administration, we cannot vote in Romney. We have to go for the most conservative person running for president. But, we have to vote for whoever wins the nomination. For beating Obama is more important. If Romney wins, we have to make sure that we also take the Senate in this next election so that maybe the House and the Senate can keep Romney on the straight and narrow. But, for now, heed the words Mark Levin said. This is important my friends. For America’s future. For our future. For our children’s future.

May God Bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country
God Bless America, Bless all Americans, and bless us to start using more common sense.

Tyranny from our own Government

When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When people fear the government, there is tyranny.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
-Thomas Jefferson-

I am not going to say much on this post, because the video says it all. But this has to be heard. Not just by my readers, which unfortunately are not enough, but by everyone who treasures what this country stands for what what this country is. And by everyone who treasures their freedoms and liberties because those are quickly being destroyed by Obama and the government in Washington. Give a good listen my friends.

This is important!

Your rights to bear arms are being infringed by Washington

Hope this caught your attention, because it sure caught mine. Because this government has no idea the ire they are causing in the people they are supposed to be representing.

May God Bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country
God Bless America, Bless all Americans, and bless us to start using more common sense.

The President’s Speech: Creepy and Wrong!

We will advance our positive suggestions with confidence, because we know that Americans are still a people born to liberty. There is nothing wrong with the state of our Union that the American people, addressed as free-born, mature citizens, cannot set right. Republicans in 2012 welcome all our countrymen to a program of renewal that rebuilds the dream for all, and makes our ‘city on a hill’ shine once again.
-Governor Mitch Daniels- in the GOP rebuttal

President Obama’s “State of the unUnion speech last night was so Creepy and wrong that it took me almost 24 hours to be able to get my mind back in my head so I could think rationally. He said so many things last night that were patently wrong that I am surprised that he got any applause at all. I know the Republicans sat on their hands most of the night, while the Democrats cheered because their socialist leader was back, though there were times even they weren’t sure.

In the State of the Union Address, a President tries to paid a Sunny picture to make the American people think things are good if they are bad, and better if not bad. The trouble is, Obama has done so much wrong during his presidency that there is little to nothing that can be sunny. So he lied!

Actually the highlight of the night was the GOP response to Obama by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. But I will get to that in a bit.

But on to what our without a clue president had to say.

Lie number one:: The state of our Union is getting stronger. Anyone with half a brain knows that the state of the Union is in a shambles. The trouble is, I guess Obama doesn’t even have half a brain that is working. Almost every thinking American knows that the economy is a shambles. Obama in his speech makes us think that it is doing well.

Lie number two: As long as I’m President, I will work with anyone in this chamber to build on this momentum. The only way this man is going to work with anyone to keep this momentum, is if the people work with him, doing wht he wants.

Lie number three: Today, General Motors is back on top as the world’s number one automaker. All the numbers say that GM is not the number one automaker, but Ford is. Even Toyota is doing better than GM.

Lie number four: We’re also making it easier for American businesses to sell products all over the world. First off, Obama has been doing everything he can to make it harder for American businesses to make a profit. Without making a profit, American businesses will cease to exist. No business can stay in business, without making a profit.

Lie number five: I believe as strongly as ever that we should take on illegal immigration. That’s why my Administration has put more boots on the border than ever before. That’s why there are fewer illegal crossings than when I took office. The only true part of this is Obama wants the illegals. He wants to make the legal so they can help vote him back into office for his second term. He wants to give them anmesty and then bring over more. As for there being less illegals in this country now than when he took office. That is incredulous.

Now I have shown you five lies…and I haven’t even gotten halfway through his speech. His speech last night was full of them. But the defining moments of the night was Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels with the GOP rebuttal. And in his 30 minute speech, he took on Obama and all the lies he told.

Here is some of what Mitch Daniels said:

……On these evenings, Presidents naturally seek to find the sunny side of our national condition. But when President Obama claims that the state of our union is anything but grave, he must know in his heart that this is not true.

The President did not cause the economic and fiscal crises that continue in America tonight. But he was elected on a promise to fix them, and he cannot claim that the last three years have made things anything but worse: the percentage of Americans with a job is at the lowest in decades. One in five men of prime working age, and nearly half of all persons under 30, did not go to work today.

In three short years, an unprecedented explosion of spending, with borrowed money, has added trillions to an already unaffordable national debt. And yet, the President has put us on a course to make it radically worse in the years ahead. The federal government now spends one of every four dollars in the entire economy; it borrows one of every three dollars it spends. No nation, no entity, large or small, public or private, can thrive, or survive intact, with debts as huge as ours.

The President’s grand experiment in trickle-down government has held back rather than sped economic recovery. He seems to sincerely believe we can build a middle class out of government jobs paid for with borrowed dollars. In fact, it works the other way: a government as big and bossy as this one is maintained on the backs of the middle class, and those who hope to join it.

Those punished most by the wrong turns of the last three years are those unemployed or underemployed tonight, and those so discouraged that they have abandoned the search for work altogether. And no one has been more tragically harmed than the young people of this country, the first generation in memory to face a future less promising than their parents did.

As Republicans our first concern is for those waiting tonight to begin or resume the climb up life’s ladder. We do not accept that ours will ever be a nation of haves and have nots; we must always be a nation of haves and soon to haves.

In our economic stagnation and indebtedness, we are only a short distance behind Greece, Spain, and other European countries now facing economic catastrophe. But ours is a fortunate land. Because the world uses our dollar for trade, we have a short grace period to deal with our dangers. But time is running out, if we are to avoid the fate of Europe, and those once-great nations of history that fell from the position of world leadership.

So 2012 is a year of true opportunity, maybe our last, to restore an America of hope and upward mobility, and greater equality. The challenges aren’t matters of ideology, or party preference; the problems are simply mathematical, and the answers are purely practical.

An opposition that would earn its way back to leadership must offer not just criticism of failures that anyone can see, but a positive and credible plan to make life better, particularly for those aspiring to make a better life for themselves. Republicans accept this duty, gratefully.

The routes back to an America of promise, and to a solvent America that can pay its bills and protect its vulnerable, start in the same place. The only way up for those suffering tonight, and the only way out of the dead end of debt into which we have driven, is a private economy that begins to grow and create jobs, real jobs, at a much faster rate than today.

Contrary to the President’s constant disparagement of people in business, it’s one of the noblest of human pursuits. The late Steve Jobs – what a fitting name he had – created more of them than all those stimulus dollars the President borrowed and blew. Out here in Indiana, when a businessperson asks me what he can do for our state, I say ‘First, make money. Be successful. If you make a profit, you’ll have something left to hire someone else, and some to donate to the good causes we love.’

The extremism that stifles the development of homegrown energy, or cancels a perfectly safe pipeline that would employ tens of thousands, or jacks up consumer utility bills for no improvement in either human health or world temperature, is a pro-poverty policy. It must be replaced by a passionate pro-growth approach that breaks all ties and calls all close ones in favor of private sector jobs that restore opportunity for all and generate the public revenues to pay our bills.

There is more, but I think you get the business. Mitch Daniels put it perfectly. Better than I ever could about how horribly Barack Obama, hmmm mmmm mmm is doing as president of our country. And these are things that as Americans, we have to remember when we go to the ballot boxes in November. The best thing for America? Get Obama and HIS democrats out of office. PERIOD! This country needs that more than anything. This country need adult supervision in the White house and the senate come December.

May God Bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country
God Bless America, Bless all Americans, and bless us to start using more common sense.

Don’t let ’em take your guns, cause here they come!

This is my gun permit!
Gun-grabbers around the globe believe they have it made.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently announced the Obama Administration will be working hand-in-glove with the UN to pass a new “Small Arms Treaty.”

Disguised as an “International Arms Control Treaty” to fight against “terrorism,” “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates,” the UN Small Arms Treaty is in fact a massive, GLOBAL gun control scheme.

It seems like a scene out of the Nazi era of World War II, where the government is coming into our homes and telling us what we can have and what we cannot have. The only differences in this is, then the government just did it out in the open. Now it’s being done under the pretenses of taking guns away from terrorists.

What we have to realize is, any American, who “holds onto their bibles and their guns” is considered a terrorist to the liberal left. That means you and me folks. Plain and simple.

The left in this country is just like my superintendent at work. If you do something because another boss tells you to do it, or because a mechanic at the main shop tells you to do it, to maintain your truck, and it doesn’t go through him first, it is wrong to do. CONTROL. Total control is what the left wants, and guns give you too much freedom for their liking, so “out they go!”

Ultimately, this UN SMALL ARMS TREATY is designed to make us register our guns, so they can be found, confiscated and gotten away from us, the private citizens of the United States.

The trouble is, the guns we have, are already registered, if we are the people we that we always have been. ie: Following the laws.

But this new law that Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration are going after is a “cloak and dagger” affair to take our guns away, and in doing so, make us totally ineffective opponents to their regime. Giving them total control. Just like they want it.

So far, they have kept the exact wording of this new bill under wraps of course, but, if you look at previous versions of the UN Small Arms Treaty, you can get a good idea of what’s likely to be in it. Give a look at what the previous version had:

*** Enact tougher licensing requirements, making law-abiding Americans cut through even more bureaucratic red tape just to own a firearm legally;
*** CONFISCATE and DESTROY ALL “unauthorized” civilian firearms (all firearms owned by the government are excluded, of course);
*** BAN the trade, sale and private ownership of ALL semi-automatic weapons;
*** Create an INTERNATIONAL gun registry, setting the stage for full-scale gun CONFISCATION.

If ratified by the UN and the U.S. Senate folks, these are things this boondoggle will almost certainly FORCE the U.S. to do. And in forcing our country to do that, that would mean our 2nd Amendment Rights to “bear arms” will be infringed. By the UN, and our higher ups in Washington.

Do you want that? I know I don’t. I have my guns. And my government isn’t going to backhandedly find a way to tell me I can’t have them. Plain and simple. My constitution, a document that by the way they are bound to adhere too, tells them so. It isn’t just me or you. It’s the law of the land, and they are working hard to change that. And it’s time for us to put our foot down……before the left can destroy it even more than they have. This is not a fight, that we can afford to lose.

Ever since it’s founding 65 years ago, the UN, even though it is housed here on American soil, has been hell bent on bringing the United States to it’s knees by catering to the petty dictators and socialists around the world whose total agenda is to do just that.

These leftists and anti gun globalists know that as long as Americans have the freedom to own guns, we can make our own decisions without being bossed around by big government bureaucrats. And as long as we are that free, they will NEVER be able to have the worldwide power that they crave. And they know that taking our guns is the most effective way to take our power away. Are we going to let them do that? I know I am going to actively fight against that. ARE YOU?

Are your 2nd Amendment Rights, important to you?

May God Bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country
God Bless America, Bless all Americans, and bless us to start using more common sense.

Newt Blows Romney out of the Water, in South Carolina

posted by Robert Garding

This didn’t surprise me that Newt Gingrich took South Carolina. What did surprise me though, was the margins, and the people who voted for others who couldn’t possibly win, because they were not running anymore.

To me, voting for someone who isn’t running anymore is the sign of someone who doesn’t like who is left, and doesn’t care that even these people are better than Obama. Now that I got that off my chest, I will go to the numbers.

Newt Ginginch took the state with 40% of the vote to Romney’s 28%. In a map showing what he took and what McCain and Huckabee took in 2007 shows just how good Gingrich did and how the media and the GOP hierarchy is taking this. From the AP comes this little gem:

The weaknesses exposed in Romney’s candidacy by the South Carolina results and, perhaps more importantly, in the days leading up to the primary, are cause for concern among Republicans.

All I can say is, it’s not a cause for concern among any of the republicans that I have talked too, and I have talked to quite a few since last night.

What the AP is talking about here is two things. The Romney campaign, which the media supports because they want him against Obama, and the Republican top tier. NOT THE BASE. To these two entities, the base doesn’t matter. One of the reasons, that this year Newt, or someone other than Romney has to win.

You see, if Romney had won, even by 1%, the media would have been ecstatic, and Obama could have moved on with the rest of his bid for a second term. Something that Newt’s win effectively keeps him from doing. Why you ask? Because Newt has Conservative ideas that scare the crap out of the democrats and the top echelon of the republican party. You know, the ones in charge? You see, a major percentage of them are not conservative and do not hold Conservative ideals.

But the full numbers of what happened in South Carolina are this and the responses. Newt got 243,153 (40%) of the vote, Romney got 167,279 (28%), Rick Santorum got 102,055 (17%) and Ron Paul got 77,993 (13%). Now there were 6,324 votes for Herman Cain, who isn’t even running anymore, and 2,494 for Rick Perry, who again isn’t even running anymore, and also 1,161 for Jon Huntsman who isn’t running anymore. Behind that are 494 for Michele Bachmann and 213 for Gary Johnson. My question to these who voted for people that aren’t even in the race anymore, all 10,686 of you, don’t you want Obama beaten? Because it seems to me you are saying, it doesn’t matter to work on getting him beat, so split the vote. But I digress.

I think that Mitt Romney has made it harder to win going on from here by being just a little bit of a sore loser last night, which is what I think is the cause for concern in the upper tier of the GOP.

And the media showed this “concern” also, by instead of touting Gingrich’s win, touted Romney’s loss and what he had to do to win the next time in Florida.

Echoing a worn adage, Mitt Romney said on Saturday night after conceding defeat to Newt Gingrich in the South Carolina primary that a longer, more competitive battle for the Republican presidential nomination would only make him stronger.

“I don’t shrink from competition. I embrace it. I believe competition makes us all better,” Romney told supporters.

That’s a standard talking point from a frontrunner who hasn’t yet locked up the nomination. But in fact, the weaknesses exposed in Romney’s candidacy by the South Carolina results and, perhaps more important, in the days leading up to the primary, are cause for concern among Republicans, including some of Romney’s own supporters.

More than one-third of South Carolina primary voters identified themselves as very conservative, according to exit polls conducted on behalf of the television networks and the Associated Press. Mitt Romney won only 20 percent of their votes, compared to Newt Gingrich’s 45 percent.

In Romney’s speech, which he delivered just after 8 p.m. ET last night, he said, “This race is getting to be even more interesting…..This is a hard fight because there’s so much worth fighting for.” He also ripped into Gingrich, of course without naming him, saying that his opponent’s attacks on his business record were nothing less than an attack on free enterprise, HUH??? and he continued by saying that his party could not have a nominee who had not either run a business or a state.

But, I think that Romney there was just showing the “sour grapes” of being defeated, because he doesn’t even take into account that Newt has been higher in our government than he has…..and was very successful at it, to the chagrin of the hierarchy of the Republican party. You see, it is that part of the republican party that didn’t like Reagan either. But Newt is the only person around today who has actually balanced the American budget not just once, but more than once. To me he has the qualifications, even though it goes against the republican establishment.

But we have to keep this in perspective here. If Romney had won, you wouldn’t be seeing stories all over the media like, The Newtonian conundrum: Has Gingrich changed since the 1990s? Character sketch, and Newt Gingrich wins South Carolina Republican primary; in second place, Romney goes on offensive, and Romney defeat exposes significant weaknesses, etc., etc., etc. We would be seeing stories of how Gingrich had got his clock cleaned and now on to the next victory for Romney. So even in winning massively like Gingrich did, the media still treats him as the loser. Go Figure. I wonder just how long it is going to take for them to get with the true news reporting, instead of the spin. On that I can tell you. It isn’t going to happen.

The media has ceased to be able to report the news objectively and truthfully. They are totally out of touch with the Conservative base of this nation, as are the GOP establishment and the liberal democratic left. Three reasons why it is good that Gingrich won last night, and three reasons why it will be good for him to win again in Florida. The hierarchy may not be for a change to Conservatism like that, but the base is.

And through this, Obama is continuing with his agenda of doing what is beating him. Another headline this morning says:

Obama Administration touts rule change to aid undocumented families. Just how far out of touch is that with the American base?

May God Bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country

Another showing of Obama’s FOLLY with our money.

I found this from San Fransisco California, at the Solyndra plant.

You remember Solyndra don’t you? The company that Obama decided was to get billions of our taxpayer money, so that a green company could be pushed as one of the GREEN ways to go? Remember how they went out of business even after all that money? Do you ever wonder what they are doing now?

Well, CBS in California found out what Solyndra is doing now. Give a look.

Makes you wonder. If someone wanted to buy this, or the company that made them and is still owed millions for them, didn’t know they were being destroyed…..what gives? Hey Obama. What gives?

NO WONDER I AM VOTING FOR ANYONE WHO OPPOSES OBAMA IN NOVEMBER!

May God Bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country

2011 in review for Wise Conservatism here at WordPress

I had just posted a post a few short minutes ago, when I went to my dashboard and found this. This is the stats on how my blog did in 2011 and hopefully with my “writing’s staying power” it will continue in 2012. Thank you everyone for helping Wise Conservatism to be as successful as it has been. Thank you to all my readers. Now on to the stats:

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

London Olympic Stadium holds 80,000 people. This blog was viewed about 260,000 times in 2011. If it were competing at London Olympic Stadium, it would take about 3 sold-out events for that many people to see it.

NO Matthews! Let the American People finish!

Let me finish tonight with this. Newt Gingrich has called Barack Obama a Food Stamp President. Food Stamp President. Got it? I thought we were passed all this, didn’t you? You know, the talk about Welfare Queens and phrases like that. Well, you either get the message or you don’t. And if you don’t, there’s no point arguing with you about it. Most people do get the point, meaning most people white and black get the point.

Speaker Gingrich went at Juan Williams last night in that debate in just this vein. He knew what he was doing. Williams could see that saying that black Americans should want jobs not food stamps was insulting. Gingrich then laid into him saying that President Obama had put more Americans on food stamps than any other president. He got a lot of applause for that. Why would saying that get you a big, hearty applause? Because this whole conversation isn’t about poverty, but about race. It’s about a candidate who knows just how to make his point to appeal to a certain kind of voter. I’m talking about Gingrich here.
Chris Matthews

From the Right Scoop they hit on this one just perfect when they posted, “It’s so funny that the left, in this case Chris Matthews, has absolutely no substantive argument other than to call people racists. In this instance Matthews is accusing Gingrich of using race to appeal to a ‘certain type of voter’ because he called Obama a ‘food stamp president’. Apparently Matthews can’t get it through his thick head that the truth of Gingrich’s statement is that Obama is making Americans poor and needy. No, it has to be about race because we all know that the Republican Party and the Tea Party is really the KKK in plain clothing. Good grief!

“It’s amazing that Chris Matthews doesn’t just pull the bottle out and drink right on the air……”

In that the Right Scoop has it so right. Chris Matthews has absolutely no substance to throw at the tea party or the Conservatives, or the Republicans except for racism. And in my mind, the man has no clue as to what racism really is. He only has his agenda, which is to do everything he can to help Obama. For the whole left, it is nothing more than that.

But that is not where this ends. In the last debate, John King started the debate by asking Newt Gingrich this:

“Mr. Speaker, I want to start with that this evening. As you know, your ex-wife gave an interview to ABC News and another interview at the Washington Post, and this story has now gone viral on the Internet. In it she says that you came to her in 1999 at a time when you were having an affair. She says you asked her, sir, to enter into an open marriage. Would you like to take some time to respond to that?”

Now here is where this whole thing gets interesting. Newt took it to Mr. King, in a major way. But if you think that Newt doing this embarrassed the media into realizing the error of their ways, think again. It didn’t. These people think of John King as a God right now because he took it to Newt Gingrich. Never mind that Newt had a good answer and a good response. Never mind that the people in the audience cheered loudly. The media is blind to this kind of opening. They think of it as another opportunity to take it to the Republicans.

Because usually it works.

It didn’t this time.

It didn’t with Reagan.

But in the mean time, the media goes right back to their smearing of the GOP and the praising of Obama. Nothing will change when it comes to them. But, we have to stand up and cheer for Newt for standing up and throwing it back in their faces this time. We may live another 30 years before another politician does this again. So savor it while we can. Because when Newt is gone, the media will always return to their agenda.

Do you ever wonder why?

Senate Majority Leader Dingy Harry Reid is the Democrats’ third most powerful elected official — if you count Joe Bite Me as No. 2. This past weekend, Reid went on NBC’s “Meet the Depressed” to claim he understands “the frustration of the American people.”

He used the rest of his appearance to rip into the Tea Party. Because those extremists in the Tea Party have so much power – according to Dingy Harry – Republicans are now practicing “obstructionism on steroids.” For instance, Dingy Harry complains it took months to raise the debt ceiling. That used to be routine.

Reid says he hopes Republicans have “learned their lesson,” and understand “everything doesn’t have to be a fight.” He hopes they realize that legislation is “the art of working together, building consensus,” and “compromise.” Harry Reid says he hopes the Tea Party won’t have as much influence with Republicans next year because they’ve been “really bad for the country.” He believes they are slowly “dying out” as the economy gets better.

Now, Dingy Harry is a tiny, little man. He is angry that he – and fellow Democrats – now have to jump through a few hoops to spend America into bankruptcy. He’s angry that Congressional Republicans aren’t grabbing the ankles every time Democrats snap their fingers.

The only thing greater than Dingy Harry Reid’s visceral hatred of the Tea Party is his fear they’ll win again in November — and drive another stake in the heart of liberals like Harry Reid.
-Rush Morning update for 01/17/12-

Ever wonder why we keep forgetting what a bad politician or a bad party does while in Washington?  I know I have.

It seems, all we have to do is be a few weeks away from something bad happening, and we forget it happens when suddenly the bad politician figures out he/she is losing support and they do something good.  And when that happens, the numbers in the polls for that person start to go back up.  NO WONDER the democrats keep staying in power year after year. The American people have a very short memory span when it comes to bad things happening. Even when the bad that has happened has lasted as long as this economy has.

Obama knows how to work this system. When his numbers go low, he leaves the country for a while, and when he does, inexplicably his numbers start to rise.

But Obama isn’t the only one. We also have Harry Reid, who is the third most powerful democrat in the country now, behind Biden and Obama.

This last weekend, he went on NBC’s Meet the Press to tell everyone that he understands the “frustration of the American People.” Uh, Yeah right. Sure he does.

He used the rest of his appearance on the show to rip on the Tea Party, saying that those ‘extremists have so much power, that Republicans are now practicing “obstructionism on steriods”‘. My answer to that is OH BOO HOO. Now you know how it feels to have someone come after you for your obstructionism, like you have been doing to the right for generations.

But that just leads me back to my original question that I started out with. Do you ever wonder why the people keep forgetting the terrible things the left keeps doing? I know I do. It amazes me the short mindedness of the American people. I think that it has to do with the way we used to be. We used to sit back and live our lives, just forgetting everything that happened in Washington because we elected the politicians to do the job there so we didn’t have to deal with it. But, I think we have also learned that we have to deal with it. Because the politicians become corrupted like Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi and Kerry, and Durbin. Others, like Obama start out that way.

We also have politicians like John McCain who has been there so long that he figures his way of thinking is what the people want. And if it isn’t, they aren’t smart enough to know what he is after is what they need.

Reid also says he hopes Republicans have “learned their lesson,” and understand “everything doesn’t have to be a fight.” He hopes they realize that legislation is “the art of working together, building consensus,” and “compromise.” Oh yes…there is that word again. To the Democrats, like Reid, compromise means to give in to them. They never give in to us. So Mr. Reid. Compromise? Not on your life bucko! The Conservatives are taking over! The difference this time is, there isn’t much you can do about it, but lie and get out of the way. So far, you have tried the lying. Now, Mr. Reid, and others, get out of the way. The people have taken over.
