Here is what they are really saying.

Make no mistake about it folks, the democrats are trying to take credit for what the republicans have been pushing for all along, and then blaming the republicans for not compromising. But here is what is going on.

The republicans were sent to Washington to do the people’s will. As were the democrats. But here is the difference between the two.

The liberal democrats think the people are stupid and do not know what is best for them. So therefore, according to their way of thinking, we all need them to do for us what we are too dumb to do. It is to laugh…… Harry Reid has even said that he wants to be able to blame the republicans for this bill not passing.

The republicans on the other hand, think that the people know what they want, and are trying to do what they were sent there for. DOING THE PEOPLE’S WILL.

The democrats say the GOP is grandstanding and standing in the way of doing the right thing, and of course, that is to pass the senate version of a two month extension of the payroll tax cut bill. Which really is not what it is. But two months, as the House Speaker John Boehner says, will not help because businesses need to know what is going on in the near future to be able to figure if they can spend for new employees or not. He and the republicans are after a one year extension.

Harry Reid has even intimated that he hopes the Republicans hold to their guns so that if the bill isn’t passed and the people’s taxes go up at the first of the year, that the population will then blame the republicans for it. HA HA HA Mr Senator Reid. We are awake and we know who is standing in the way of what this government has to do. Raising taxes is NOT the way to go Mr. Senator from Nevada. You and your liberal friends are wrong, as usual.

But, we the people have to support what the Republicans are doing here. They are working to stop the out of control spending that the government is guilty of. And it can’t be stopped all at once.

We have to know that the democrats and a lot of republicans and independents have for generations now, been able to spend like idiots with no consequences, and now that it seems that is about to stop, the democrats are fighting that stop, tooth and nail, by lying about what the republicans are doing. Lying to the people that it has to be done “their way” or no way. Hopefully, the people will continue to stay awake and push for their representatives to do what is needed. The laws of this country were put there for us and for the politicians. The people are tired of the politicians not following the laws, and the constitution. The time for change has come. The republicans are working towards that end, the liberal democrats, including Obama, are not. Simple as that folks. Simple as that. Keep that in mind when you vote in November of 2012. No matter what the democrats do, they will always think the way they have been. Bigger government, higher taxes, and more intrusive regulations. Never forget that is what the left is after.

May God Bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country
God Bless America, Bless all Americans, and bless us to start using more common sense.

NOTE: This is an update to the post above. Speaker John Boehner caved. Here from the AP

Washington (CNN) — Speaker John Boehner on Thursday accepted a two-month extension of the payroll tax cut, succumbing to mounting pressure from the White House, congressional Democrats and fellow Republicans to reverse his House leadership’s opposition to the Senate-passed proposal.

President Barack Obama immediately congratulated congressional leaders on the deal, while Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell — who increased the pressure on Boehner earlier in the day with a call for such an agreement — said it was a “sigh of relief” for American taxpayers.

Under the deal, the payroll tax assessed American workers will remain at the current 4.2% rate instead of reverting to the 6.2% rate before the cut enacted last year. Without congressional action, the higher rate would have returned on January 1, meaning an average $1,000 tax increase for 160 million Americans.

The deal also includes the addition of legislative language to ease the administrative burden on small businesses implementing the plan, and a commitment to negotiations on a one-year extension of the payroll tax cut as well as other benefits, according to statements by congressional leaders and Obama.

“We will ask the House and Senate to approve this agreement by unanimous consent before Christmas,” Boehner said, indicating the chambers could pass the plan without objection so that members don’t have to return to Washington from their holiday recess.

However, it was unclear if his Republican caucus would accept the agreement without objection. A GOP uprising during a caucus conference call Saturday had caused Boehner to reject the plan the Senate passed last week with strong bipartisan support, setting up this week’s political showdown in the final days before the payroll tax cut expired.

Sadly the Republicans will NEVER LEARN. No matter what they do the democrats will never like them and, they will never ever keep their promises when it comes to getting the compromises they are always after. John Boehner compromised for the promise that the GOP’s bill of the same thing for a year will be considered. It never will be…..not by the democrats. It’s time the Republicans learned this…..and stopped compromising.

To be honest, this payroll tax cut issue hasn’t exactly held my attention so I don’t really have an opinion on it. I know, Robert, you think the Republicans caved but on his radio show Michael Medved said just the opposite. I guess there’re things in this agreement that can be used to support both views. I will leave it to you and Michael.
reply from Robert: I posted more about this on the next post my friend. I have been watching this and this will save us about 20 dollars in taxes if you make 50 thousand a year. Was it worth taking money from the Social Security fund for a mere 20 dollars? Social Security is already broke, and the nation’s national debt just went over 16 trillion. The complete national GDP is at 15. 6 trillion! We are broke!
