Longview, Washington. Did you hear of this? And other things of today.

LONGVIEW, Wash. — Hundreds of Longshore workers stormed the Port of Longview, overpowered security guards, damaged rail cars and dumped grain at the center of a labor dispute that also stopped work at four other ports on Thursday, officials said.

Six guards were detained for a couple of hours after at least 500 Longshoremen broke down gates about 4:30 a.m. and smashed windows in the guard shack, said Longview Police Chief Jim Duscha. He called the detained guards “hostages.”

The Port of Longview was raided this morning about 4 a.m., by the longshoremen over a labor dispute. This article that I finally found on this was from the Joplin Globe.

Now this caught my attention because my mother lives in Longview. Being on the west coast, I would have never thought something like this could happen, but happen it did.

I read on in the article, after hearing about it on Rush Limbaugh today, the story went on with this:

“Today, the ILWU took its criminal activity against EGT to an appalling level, including engaging in assault and significant property destruction,” the company’s chief executive, Larry Clarke, said in a written statement. “This type of violent attack at the export terminal has been condemned by a federal court, and we fully support prosecution of this criminal behavior to the fullest extent under the law.”

Police from several agencies in southwest Washington, the Washington State Patrol and Burlington Northern Santa Fe responded to the violence to secure the scene that followed a demonstration Wednesday.

One sergeant was threatened with baseball bats and retreated, Duscha said. “One officer with hundreds of Longshoremen? He used the better part of discretion.”

The train was the first grain shipment to arrive at Longview. It arrived Wednesday night after police arrested 19 demonstrators who tried to block the tracks. They were led by McEllrath, who said they would return.

The blockade appeared to defy a federal restraining order issued last week against the union after it was accused of assaults and death threats.

Now I am not sure if this is political. Even so, I needed to report this one, as it totally caught my attention because of it’s location. But sadly that isn’t everything that is going on today.

Remember the president’s job speech tonight? Do you think it is a coincidence that CNN today had an article on the subject, titled “Are Jobs Obsolete?” Heck it seems that even the media, who is always in bed with Obama, doing they’re best to protect the little man-child in the white house knows that the reaction to his speech tonight is going to be bad. This article, written by a Douglas Rushkoff who is supposed to be a “media theorist.” Another new term here. What the heck is a media theorist? Well, he is the author of Program or be Programmed: Ten Commands for a Digital Age, and also Life, Inc.: How Corporatism Conquered the World and How We Can Take it Back.” He’s “an American media theorist, writer, columnist, lecturer, graphic novelist, and documentarian best known for his association with the early cyberpunk culture and his advocacy of open source solutions to social problems.”
Now as Rush Limbaugh puts it,
So he’s a “media theorist” who writes comic books. So it’s quite understandable here that CNN would give him a soapbox. Anyway, “Are Jobs Obsolete?” On the day Obama’s going to give his big speech on jobs! “The U.S. Postal Service appears to be the latest casualty in digital technology’s slow but steady replacement of working humans. Unless an external source of funding comes in, the post office will have to scale back its operations drastically, or simply shut down altogether. That’s 600,000 people who would be out of work, and another 480,000 pensioners facing an adjustment in terms. We can blame a right wing attempting to undermine labor, or a left wing trying to preserve unions in the face of government and corporate cutbacks.

It seems that no matter what Obama does, nothing goes right for him. This country is falling apart. We are now listed as number 5 in the list of the most vibrant economies in the world. NUMBER FIVE! We are no longer number one. Just what Obama wanted folks. Just what he wanted.

It’s time we did complete house-cleaning in Washington starting with the next election and find everyone there on the giggle weeds and oust them from office, starting with Obama. This country can ill afford more liberalism folks. We have gone too far down that path already. And no matter what the democrats try to make you believe, they are on the ropes and crying out for survival here. They know the people are not supporting them. But even though we are not supporting them we need to stop electing them to positions of power.

Because they see the world differently than you and I. They do not see that they are destroying America with their agenda’s. They actually believe that we are.

Adult supervision is what is needed in Washington, and we have it back in the House. Now it’s time to start sweeping up the floors and getting the adult supervision back in the other two legislative branches of government. Vote with your common sense and love of country come November of 2012. Leave your bleeding heart liberalism at home. America cannot afford anymore of that, or the entitlement programs they are always so willing to strap us with.

May God bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country.
God, Bless America. Bless Americans. And Bless us to start using more common sense.

reply from Robert: So true. And thank you. We on the right are needed now more than ever before. This country’s future says exactly that. True Americans are needed to stand up to the lies of the left and the media that what Obama the the left want is what the people want. It’s time we started telling them to stop the lies and go away. God Bless you too.

I don’t know how you do it, how you can continue to follow this on the national level. In our small neck of the woods, we have been fighting the battle and it is tiresome. Impossible to combat the lies because a new one pops up to take the place of the old one.
You’re on the national level…we are the local level. I can’t even imagine.
    God’s blessing to you.
reply from Robert: This one article was easy because I heard of it on Rush, and then checked it out because my mom lives there. I was interested. I do follow everything I can, and it does take some time, but I feel it is worth it. And you do a great job on the local level. I pretty much ignore the local stuff unless it has a way to affect the national arena. I also have a bunch of news aggregators on my computers here. And God’s blessings to you and yours too. Thanks for reading.
