The President’s Great Folly….Raising the Debt Ceiling!

I have been listening to John Boehner and Obama and the media over the last few days shooting out a complete fallacy by telling the American people that it will be a catastrophe if we let the debt limit stay the same, and default on it. PEOPLE! Listen! We will not be defaulting on it if we don’t raise it!! GET IT?

The United States has the money income to pay at least on the interest of the debt, we will not be defaulting. As a matter of fact, we will finally be showing some responsibility, instead of constantly raising the ceiling. Why have that ceiling if we are just going to raise it when we get to it? HMMMMM?

We are coming to the end of our ability to pay back, and the creditors that keep letting us raise our debt limit know this too. From one end or another, it’s going to stop. And it would be better for us, if it stopped from this end, rather than the other end. If you know what I mean. If you don’t, imagine again, your family and their credit limit. Try raising to where your creditors know you can’t pay it, and see how far you get. Whether our politicians on the left want to admit it or not, that point of no return is coming, and it’s staring us right in the face right now.

We have now in Washington a new breed of politician, and I would imagine that they don’t like being called politicians since the term has a bad taste to it now. But they are holding firm to what we HAVE TO DO. And being bad mouthed for it, by the liberal left and their lemming media.

I applaud them for what they are doing. Yesterday Obama’s Blame Summit that he held, was nothing more than telling the Republicans to go back on their campaign promises for the good of his administration. Now I did mean to say that. He doesn’t care a hill of beans for the United States. He only cares about himself. He isn’t being hurt by this. Only we are, and the nation is. It is time that we started realizing that Obama is not a friend of the United States, even though he is now our president.

Representative Dan Burton, republican, of Indiana yesterday was on fire on this subject when talking on the Greg Garrison show, Tom Rose brought up that this has happened before when the promises were made to get something else done, and the promises were never kept, and it is always this ‘no medicine for autistic children’, or ‘old folks being left out of the mix’, or some other scare tactic, and that the bureaucrats never face the consequences of their own actions, Representative Burton said:

“I think what he’s going to do, is he is going to say that without the tax increases that they’re not going to reach an agreement, *which is what he said*, and tax increases right now will be an absolute disaster for economic recovery.

We’ve got 9.2% unemployment and it’s going up because investors aren’t investing, and the taxes he’s talking about will affect everybody, business industry and individuals, and I just can’t vote for any kind of a tax increase right now, this is absolutely insane. But this is what he’s going to be talking about. He’s going to be talking about investments. When they use the term ‘investments’ that means more taxes. So that’s a code word for more taxes.

And uh, we need to cut spending. We’ve increased spending by three point seven trillion I believe over the last two years, the last two and a half years, and we just don’t have that money…..and if we just went back to the 2008 levels, just go back to the levels so spending we had in 2008, we could make a giant step forward.

But they don’t want to do that. They want to continue to spend more, and what they’re doing is they’re scaring people on medicare, they’re scaring people who have medicaid. And those who have social security.

And the fact is, we’ve got a plan, we’ve had a plan for sometime that would deal with those in a responsible way, but they’re just trying to get more money so they can spend it.

Boehner in closed door sessions with the president has been talking, though we have no idea what has been said, he will come to a conference with us this week, and he will tell us what they have talked about. And when he does I am sure that he will tell us that the president wants more tax revenue in exchange for some of these cuts in spending.

The cuts in spending is the main problem. We are going to be increasing spending by well over one trillion dollars per year over the next ten years, and we will be in a fiscal situation that we cannot get out of.

It’s bad enough right now with a 14 trillion dollar national debt, and this year the deficit is going to be about 1.6 trillion. We just don’t have the money. We need to cut spending. And we can do it in a responsible way, sbut he doesn’t want to do it and what they’re doing is they’re getting on television and they’re saying ‘well, seniors, we’re going to cut your medicare. Seniors, we’re going to cut your social security and we’re gonna cut medicaid, and we’re gonna take childrens’ lunch programs and no more aid for students going to college and it’s just a scare tactic to try to get us to spend more money and raise more taxes……and uh, I’m not going to do it.

Now Dan Burton is a representative that I have followed for years and he is every bit as honest as Mike Pence is. He tells it like it is.

I hope that you people who read this are taking this to heart because this came from a congressman. Someone who knows what is going on in Washington, and is warning us people of what Obama and the democrats have in mind.

The United States cannot afford to keep raising the debt ceiling, every time the politicians in Washington spend to it. They need to be held to account, and make them stop this crazy insane spending that they insist on doing.

Raising this debt limit is only doing two things. It is showing our creditors that we are being irresponsible with our money. *Try raising your families debt limit every time you get to it, and you will see what the consequences of it are.* And two, sometime or another, we have to stop. We can’t just keep raising it without consequences to our irresponsibility.

It is like I have said over and over again. We need to get rid of all of them who will not follow the constitution, and that means both the democrats and the republicans. We need to elect more people like Mike Pence, Dan Burton, Todd Rokita *my congressman*, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, Chris Christie, and many more like the freshman class in the House. That is what is needed to save this country from ruin. More like Obama, Schumer, Pelosi, Reid, and Durbin are NOT what we need.

May God bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country.
God, Bless America. Bless Americans. And Bless us to start using more common sense.

we’re going down, everyone grab what you can from the banks because they’re all going bankrupt.
reply from Robert: It’s not that bad yet, but if Obama wins re election, it will be.

  2. Chad Harding says:

You know, I see this website has 250 thousand hits, if we could get a million strong to head right down to the white house and demand a revolution and a complete overhaul I bet someone would listen.
reply from Robert: Yeah, and that would be so cool too. But, I think they are listening even though the media will not report it. Watch obama. His demeanor is cracking. He is getting scared. It shows in his actions. The tea party and the people of the grassroots America are being heard. Believe me.
