Happy Memorial Day to everyone…..

Today is memorial day folks. And we here at Wise Conservatism *the blog* Wise Conservatism’s Videoside Chats *on You Tube* and Wise Conservatism Radio *heard on Blog Talk Radio* wish to thank you for letting us into your lives, and also to wish you all a Happy and Safe Memorial Day.

Our flag. The most beautiful Flag in the world.....

Today, for most of us, it is a holiday, in remembrance of all those who have sacrificed everything for our freedoms throughout the history of this great nation. America is a nation that has so many great things for her citizens, that we have people who will sacrifice their very lives, so that we can all continue to live in the freedoms and liberties that just living here gives us.

Don’t you realize just how great that is? Don’t you realize just how great a nation this is, and why so many would die to preserve her? To me, I love the quote: “Only two have ever volunteered to die for you. One is Jesus Christ, and the other is the American Soldier.”

This country, as great as she is, holds for us the ideals of freedom and liberty, and we have to remember that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. The main reason that the fight for freedom is an ongoing thing. There will always be those out there who hate us, just because we are free to do what we want. And no matter what we do for them, they will always hate us.

During the last century the entities that have tried to take this away from us are the Communists, who were essentially made a non-entity through Reagan, and now terrorism, which we are currently fighting with our brave military, who are over in Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and anywhere else they may be stationed. They deserve our utmost respect and love folks. They are on the front lines, sacrificing their youth and their very lives to allow us to celebrate holidays, and live in this great country as free people.

So, why, I ask you, do we constantly vote in politicians whose only aim is to take those preciously paid for freedoms away from us? That is something that has plagued me since I can’t remember when…..and being 59 this year, that is a long time to look back and reflect.

With that to think about my friends, welcome to America. Love her, protect her and keep her free. God Bless you all, and have a very Happy Memorial day.

May God bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country.
God, Bless America. Bless Americans. And Bless us to start using more common sense.

Robert, Most of my immediate family went to open my camp this holiday and just got back..prior to leaving, I completed my duties that have been left to me as the baby of my family to complete…and that is to remember all who have gone before,,,In our extended and immediate families.. That was 11 memorial flower arrangements completed and placed on the individual graves…..While at camp, I took my children and their children to what was a family cemetery. It was dedicated to one of my ancestors over three hundred years ago…My immediate family is not buried there, because they moved from the area during WWII and never returned except for vacations…. The children were overwhelmed by the history represented there and the stories that I could remember about some of the sea captains, their families that they took with them abroad and the travels of the original families from 1658, old Salem Town, Mass. till the present time…..////Will they remember?? I don’t know but at least they know where they came from….Great post…as usual Robert,,,,
reply from Robert: Sounds neat. Wish I knew that much about my family, and could go to where a lot of them were buried, but, they have been all over, from Washington, to Wisconsin to Finland to Germany. I have some geneology done, but that is a work that will never be finished. Always something new. Glad your kids got to have that experience.
