Our state is on the verge of an era of growth and opportunity like no other in our lifetime,” Pence said in a five-minute statement. “Under the capable leadership of Governor Mitch Daniels, Indiana has set the pace in fiscal responsibility, job creation and reform.
-Mike Pence- Indiana Congressman
Indiana 6th District Congressman Mike Pence formally announced his bid for governor of Indiana this morning. This was really a poorly kept secret, as I have been hearing that he was going to do this for a week now, but because I respect the man and his politics, I kept silent for the most part.
The ten a.m. teleconference with supporters was originally scheduled for Monday, but was cancelled when the news of Osama bin Laden’s death dominated the news.
Though he had no “platform specifics” he did say he would work on strengthening Indiana’s economy, and schools.
Mike Pence hadn’t even finished speaking before Indiana Democratic Chairman Dan Parker blasted him as a “proud partisan” who would “bring everything that’s wrong with Washington back to Indiana.”
Texas Governor Rick Perry, who heads the Republican Governors Association, praised Pence as a nationally admired conservative and “bold thinker.”
I respect this man because he is not afraid to tell you what needs to be done, and all of his decisions are tempered with his prayers to God for everything. Indiana would be well led under Mike Pence.
He would be taking over an economy that is one of the few in the nation that is in the black, after Governor Mitch Daniels got it there. Mike Pence would be a good man to keep Indiana on the road to prosperity.
Where do I go to help get him elected. We need more men like Mike who are fiscally conservative and knows what it will take to keep the money from disappearing like so many have done as of late.
Again, Congressman Mike Pence has announced this morning that he is running for the position of Governor of Indiana. He weighs in as a heavy favorite to win. I know he has my vote.
May God bless our efforts to help get America back, and put God back into our country.
God, Bless America. Bless Americans. And Bless us to start using more common sense.
