“Chicago, it’s up to you to let them know that we have not forgotten, we don’t have amnesia. This election is a choice between policies that got us into this mess and the policies that are starting to lead us out of this mess.”
-Barack Obama in Chicago 10/30/10-
HUH? Hasn’t he gotten the memo that unemployment was still at 4.7% when Bush left office? It is now over 10% in many parts of the country. Whose policies were the ones that got us into this mess? I can tell you Mr. President, along with about 90% of the American people if they would think with their brains instead of other parts that were not intended to be used for thinking. YOU ARE THE ONE that got us into this mess Mr. President. You and your policies of spend spend spend spend spend.
It is as Milton Friedman once said, “The government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem.” And on that I have to add, usually worse. Right now, the problem causer, is running around telling us that the problem was caused by someone else and he is the only one to get us out of it. Yet, if we really, objectively, look at what Obama is doing with his policies, we will see a man digging a hole with a excavator, because a shovel isn’t fast enough. And in this, we the people have the way to stop him in two days.
If you are still one of those people who think that Obama is your savior, then you have no future and your children don’t either.
When you go out to vote on Tuesday, ask yourself questions about your future and your children’s future. Will their future be as good or better than your life was if Obama is kept in complete power? Or, is a change needed to get this country back on track.
This weekend, Obama did say one thing right. He said “It is difficult here in Pennsylvania, it is difficult all across the country.” If I had been there I would have been one to yell out, “Yes, I agree. And your policies are making them worse! YOU cannot spend your way to prosperity when there is no money to spend and you have to borrow to get it.”
We have to start thinking like we would if we were running our families. Would we continue spending like crazy if there was no money in the bank? Of course we wouldn’t. So why is it any different for the government?
Obama’s policies are if you want to get prosperity, then you have to spend. And if you are prosperous, then I would agree, spending would help get you more prosperous, if your spending was done the right way. But, right now, “Americans are demanding a new way forward in Washington,” as Representative John Boehner said. But that can be added to also. It would be good to sending people to Washington to give us the new direction. But the direction has to be to follow God and the Constitution.
Ronald Reagan once said, “Let us be sure that those who come after will say of us in our time, that in our time we did everything that could be done. We finished the race; we kept them free; we kept the faith.”
My friends and fellow Americans, Tuesday is the first step to letting our children know that we are working to make this right. Tuesday is the first step we have to take, in taking this country back, and setting her back on course. And yes, I said the first step. After the election, the work will not be over. As a matter of fact, it will have just begun.
We the people allowed this mess to get started a long time ago, and it won’t end overnight. But it won’t end ever, if we don’t take the steps to stop it. Like Reagan said. “If not us, WHO? If not now, WHEN?” Cause the longer we wait to start, the harder it’s going to be, to stop this socialistic nightmare Obama has gotten us into. Welcome to the Nightmare on Pennsylvania Street. Tuesday is the start of the end of it.
