Obama: Fizzling at the Margins

The most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.
-Ronald Reagan-

Tonight is Obama’s talk on the State of the Union address to the nation, and it will be nothing more than his spun version of the truth about how his first year has gone. In reality, he will be fizzling at the margins. He will not be able to help himself. He will talk about green jobs. He will talk about things that he has talked about before. He will say he has talked of these things, even though he hasn’t.

He will talk about the economy. It is on the rise. The recession is over, yet, the media and the left are always surprised when the economy takes another nose-dive, and yet, we here on the right have been telling them over and over again that you cannot spend your way out of a recession. YOU CANNOT.

He will talk about how he has made us safer since he took office, and yet since he took office we have had at least several attacks on the mainland. Four that I can think of, though the left is spinning that too. The latest was the froot of the loom bomber that tried to bomb the plane inbound to Detroit. It took Obama 72 hours to even respond to that, and no one said a thing. When 9/11 happened it took Bush a few hours at the most to respond, and the media and the left were trashing him for having his priorities in the wrong spot. To which I say: HUH?????

Obama will talk mostly about the economy and how we need to do everything we can to bring it back to normal, and we the people are going to pay for this.

He is going to talk about how he will probably go back a little to something on the lines of what Clinton talked about when it comes to the economy.

What Obama needs to do, though he won’t, is this:

Defund ACORN.

Prosecute voter intimidation.

Fire all the czars and end the practice of hiring them.

Propose a bill that actually cuts spending 2% every year for the next ten years and veto every spending bill until the requested bill is passed. List your proposed cuts to achieve the 2% reduction in spending every year. Across-the-board tax cuts, individual two levels: 10% up to a hundred thousand dollars a year, 25% for over that amount. Corporate tax rate: 15%.

Repeal the Alternative Minimum Tax, the death tax, and capital gains taxes. Just repeal them.

Privatize General Motors and Chrysler, and that includes getting the unions out of ownership.

End TARP and the slush fund. Cut off all slush fund and Porkulus spending that has not been spent.

Lift all restrictions prevalent interstate health insurance and real tort reform, and endorse Charles Krauthammer’s proposal to scrap the current medical malpractice system.

Repeal Executive Order 10988 he will which gives federal workers the right to join unions and bargain collectively.

Reserve constitutional rights for Americans: Treat terrorists as enemy combatants and not common criminals and US citizens, and return the right to interrogate those that attack us to the FBI and the CIA.

And last, but not least, keep Guantanamo Bay open for business because we’re going to need it. It’s very simple.

This is a great idea, and it comes from Rush Limbaugh, but he won’t do that.

The one thing that he will touch on is Global Warming. He will tell us to watch out for the worst effects of Climate change. Right now, it is colder than hell here in Indiana, and we have had more snow this winter than normal, and it has been colder than normal, yet, that, to the liberals like Obama and the Global Warming freaks is just another way that shows Global Warming is happening. Again I say HUH??????

Obama will talk about expanding government some more, ignoring the words of wisdom that Reagan said once: “We must remind the people that as government expands, liberty contracts.” Does that sound like Obama? NOPE??? Well, he does want bigger government and take away our liberties…….

What we have to remember here folks, is no matter what Obama says tonight, he isn’t changing his agenda. Just changing the wording to try to pass his ideas off on us stupid people cause that is what he thinks of us. But it will not work….because unfortunately for Obama, and fortunately for America, the people are not stupid. And once awakened to the tyranny of the government, we will not fall back asleep till the tyranny is gone. And starting with the three elections of late, the tyranny is on it’s way out.

Remember folks, listen, but don’t fall for his new ploy, because he is not changing his agenda. Just the way he presents it.

God Bless America, her troops and her people

One Response to Obama: Fizzling at the Margins

  1. Edisto Joe says:

    Robert:
I saw what I expected to see. One thing you can count on with Obama…It’s Bush’s fault. He tried to be somewhat amusing over the health care melt down but it’s still on… by way of backdoor.
JOBS!!!! By God that’s what we need and he’s going to get a task force together to prove he’s serious. Jobs and economy for 2010! I just wonder how much that will cost the taxpayer?
Livin large liberal style is all we can expect from here on out.
reply from Robert: I heard today on Rush that the Jobs bill, is just another spending bill that will cost us billions, and be added onto the existing 787 billion that Obama hit us with earlier this year, when he said that the stimulus bill had to be passed or we would be in trouble. You remember, when he promised unemployment would never go above 8%? That promise along with all the others he has made have gone down the toilet and now it is Bush’s fault and our fault for things not working out. I wish he would just go away.
