The People have spoken out, and the lawmakers won’t listen.

Health care legislation heading for the Senate floor will give millions of Americans the option of purchasing government-run insurance coverage, majority Leader Harry Reid announced Monday, although he stopped short of claiming the 60 votes needed to pass a plan steeped in controversy. Reid, D-Nev., said individual states would have the choice of opting out of the program.

Reid said, “While the public option is not a silver bullet, I believe it’s an important way to ensure competition and to level the playing field for patients with the insurance industry.” He said a long-delayed Senate debate on President Barack Obama’s call for an overhaul of the health care system would begin as soon as the Congressional Budget Office completes a mandatory assessment of the bill’s cost and impact on coverage.

Changes on the public option — and numerous other provisions in the measure — are possible during a debate expected to last for weeks. Mr. Reid, haven’t you been listening you moron? WE DO NOT WANT THIS HORRIBLE BILL. WE DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! YOU ARE THERE TO REPRESENT US……NOT YOUR FREAKING EGO! You are still leaving out the all important part. You have an added stipulation that makes it mandatory for us to be on the Government health care plan if we make one change to our existing policies. And the people have to know, if they have a new baby, and add it to the health care that they have, they will be automatically added to Government health care, whether they want to be or not. And when they are added, they no longer have their private care.

And officials said Reid had prepared several variations of key provisions so he could make adjustments in his bill at the last minute and still make sure he was within Obama’s target of a $900 billion price tag over a decade.

Both the House and Senate are struggling to complete work by year’s end on legislation extending coverage to millions who lack it, to ban insurance industry practices such as denying coverage because of pre-existing medical conditions and to slow the rise in medical costs nationally.

My question to this is, if this healthcare plan is going to cost us as much as it is going to, then how can we opt out of something that we are going to have to pay for anyway? And why is it, that the people have spoken, against this healthcare thing, and yet you people in Washington are doing everything you can to push it through anyway? Whatever happened to the government that was supposed to be representative of the people? Pushing through a healthcare bill, after the people, from all over the nation have spoken out against, is not representing the people. It is excercising the power that you are drunk with, and think you have.

What Harry Reid and the others are telling the people when they say they do not want the Health care plan

The problem that we have here in the United States my friends, as I see it, and as a Conservative who believes in this country and the Constitution, is that the Government is NOT acting like it is supposed to act. They are out there now, trying they’re best to push a bill on the American people that the American people do not want. And no matter how much we tell the politicians in Washington that they are pushing a bill that we have NO INTEREST in, they keep thinking of new ways to push it on us. Making up new wording, to try to appease us into accepting what they have in store for us. And I am hoping that the American people are smart enough to not fall for a ploy that the Politicians in Washington have been hitting us with for generations.

They will push a bill that they know the American people do not want, then when they find out it won’t pass, they change little bits and pieces of it, until finally there is a bill that the people will accept and it is passed. That is what they are doing now. It is a duping game that the politicians play very very well. They care nothing for what the American people want or don’t want. They made that plain this summer during the tea parties, when they called us all unAmerican mobsters, and unpatriotic and stupid. Whatever happened to the politician that was there to represent the people?

I know that the dissent among the American people is widespread and getting bigger, yet the politicians do not care. This American is tired of this anarchy that is going on in Washington and think that it is time for Career politicians like Reid, Pelosi and Murtha and the others there who will not listen to us, to be replaced. They had better know that I am not the only one to feel this way. This is a growing trend…..and their actions in Washington are spawning a new movement that will oust them quickly. It is like Rush Limbaugh has been saying, Conservatism is on the rise, and right now, the liberals do not see it happening. It will hit them right between the eyes with a knock out punch if they don’t open their eyes and smell the coffee. Their demise is coming.

God Bless America, her troops and her people

About Robert P. Garding

I am a Reagan Conservative, who is very alarmed at the Liberals who have just lost their majority over our government, but continue to act like it never happened. They have to be stopped. NOW or even sooner.

You’re right, Robert. The majority of the American people don’t want Obamacare, yet the weasels in Washington are determined to force it on us anyway. They have forgotten the Constitutional order of things, i.e. they work for US, not the other way around. They’ve forgotten the meaning of the words “representative government”. Robert, I have a two word solution to these arrogant twits: TERM LIMITS!

    “Their demise is coming.” Sweet!

reply from Robert: I agree. Term limits is the answer to the problems that we have with these career politicians that seem to think that what they want is what we will get. But, that will be a problem. They will NOT vote themselves term limits. It will have to be forced on them somehow. And I am not sure of how to do that.
