New twist on “You Might be a Redneck if…….”

Taken from the Greg Garrison show this morning, (10/22/09) when he , starting talking about Sam Donaldson, asking why they, and the Obama administration think that FoxNews is an enemy of the state, along with people like him, Rush, and me….(I added me….he didn’t add me.) He then mentioned an email he got that brought up Rednecks….and he then read it:

We have enjoyed the redneck jokes for years. It’s time to take a reflective look at the core beliefs of a culture that values home, family, country and God. If I had to stand before a dozen terrorists who threaten my life, I’d choose a half dozen or so rednecks to back me up. Tire irons, squirrel guns and grit — that’s what rednecks are made of. I hope I am one of those. If you feel the same, pass this on to your redneck friends. Ya’ll know who ya’ll are.

You might be a redneck if: It never occurred to you to be offended by the phrase, ‘One nation, under God.’

You might be a redneck if: You’ve never protested about seeing the 10 Commandments posted in public places.

You might be a redneck if: You still say ‘ Christmas’ instead of ‘Winter Festival.’

You might be a redneck if: You bow your head when someone prays.

You might be a redneck if: You stand and place your hand over your heart when they play the National Anthem.

You might be a redneck if: You treat our armed forces veterans with great respect, and always have.

You might be a redneck if: You’ve never burned an American flag, nor intend to.

You might be a redneck if: You know what you believe and you aren’t afraid to say so, no matter who is listening.

You might be a redneck if: You respect your elders and raised your kids to do the same.

You might be a redneck if: You’d give your last dollar to a friend.

If you got this email from me, it is because I believe that you, like me, have just enough Red Neck in you to have the same beliefs as those talked about in this email.

God Bless the USA!

Keep the fire burning, redneck friend.

Now this isn’t the post that I was going to do, and I told Seane Anna that I was going to post my next one called, The Destruction of Western Civilization from Within. Now I am still going to do that one, as it is still being written and researched….but this one had to be posted. So my friends….enjoy.

God Bless America, her troops, and her people
God Bless my readers, my listeners on BTR, and my viewers on You Tube…..

About Robert P. Garding

I am a Reagan Conservative, who is very alarmed at the Liberals who have just lost their majority over our government, but continue to act like it never happened. They have to be stopped. NOW or even sooner.

I believe in every one of those things and not only am I not a redneck,I am not even American.

I would die to defend your rights to say what you say-and I can agree with most it.

Yet by your standards if we were to meet you would no doubt very quickly decide to hate me.

I am straight-yet I have no problems with gays and even believe they should have the same rights inside a marriage as others.

I live with what some Christian values yet I am fully aware that Jesus was just a Rabbi with a new twist.

The list of differences between us is long-yet I have no problem with you-can the same be said?

I think your President is a very wise and courageous man who needs time-things can not chance as fast as we like-and the logistics of moving an army out can be worse then moving it in.
Bush was the idiot who caused the problem-yet you scream to have Obama fix it is a few months-without mentioning any of the reasons why what you scream for is impossible.

What would you be doing and wanting if McCain was the President?

Opinions based on half truths and without full knowledge are worthless
    as is my opinion here.

Wise conservatism is a much of an oxymoron as common sense is.
reply from Robert: Thank you for the comment. I am glad that you are someone who holds values and believes in them. I do doubt however, that I would dislike you if I met you. I dislike few people. The ones that I dislike are ones that would rather hurt me or my family than to get to know me. I do not even dislike Obama…..I just hate his policies. He has gone at these things with an irrational abandon that has all but bankrupted this country. It is true…that a lot of the problems were carried on by Bush, but NOT started by him. These thing were started long before, with Carter and even before. The thing that I have against Obama, is that he has quadrupled our national debt in the span of 10 months, and has spent more, in that short time, than every president that preceded him, inclusive. In that, he is NOT wise, nor good for this country. That is where my dislike for him comes in. He is doing things that NO other president could get away with, and he has hardly even started yet…if we don’t stop him. Thank you for the thoughtful comment, and thanks for reading this. God bless you and your endeavors. But do not think that you know me enough to say I wouldn’t like you, if we met.

  2. Seane-Anna says:

I’m a redneck and I didn’t even know it. My Black mother will be shocked! 🙂

reply from Robert: Haa haa haa. Very funny. Hope she isn’t shocked too much. The stress might be too much for her.

  3. Seane-Anna says:

Doug, I was beginning to like you until you started in with the Bush bashing. When, oh when, will people like you get over your crazed hatred of W and let go of the irrational notion that time didn’t start until Bush was elected president. Doug, this may come as a shock to you but Bush inherited problems from his previous administration, too. You might not know that because, unlike your god Obama, Bush didn’t spend his whole presidency whining about what his predecessor did. That’s the difference between a man and a boy.

And as for your assumption that Robert wouldn’t like you because you support gay marriage, well, that’s just loony. It’s based on the erroneous notion that hate is the ONLY reason anyone can have for opposing gay marriage. Not even close. Doug, I see you’ve swallowed liberal dogma pretty much hook, line, and sinker. Too bad. You sound like a half way decent guy. Come back here when you’ve learned to think for yourself. I’d really like to hear what you have to say.

And you know that “Jesus was just a Rabbi with a new twist”? Sez who? An inquiring mind wants to know.

reply from Robert: Thanks for the good comment. I didn’t say anything about Jesus being just a Rabbi with a new twist………but the only thing I have to say about that is, Yes, and the new twist came from God Himself.
