Democrats only desire? Power, complete and corrupt!

Looking through the many things that I read and write from, when it comes to getting information for this blog, I come across some interesting things. Sometimes interesting in a good way, sometimes bad….sometimes downright arrogant. This is what I found last night.

I was looking at the Rush Limbaugh site and found something about the republicans complaining about the proposed spending spree the democrats want. They were saying that ‘it isn’t their money, and they are not crazy about all of this,’ to which, Pelosi said, (paraphrasing) about the proposed spending of billions and billions of dollars:

“We won the election, we wrote the legislation, it’s our bill and it’s going to pass.”

Now on the Rush site with that, was a link to the story posted on Politico, entitled: Obama to GOP: ‘I won’ Here is how the story goes, and it shows the arrogant, power hungry attitude that only the democrats in power can get away with, because only the democrats are fully invested in their power over the people. In other words, they care for nothing anyone says, but what they want.

President Obama listened to Republican gripes about his stimulus package during a meeting with congressional leaders Friday morning – but he also left no doubt about who’s in charge of these negotiations. “I won,” Obama noted matter-of-factly, according to sources familiar with the conversation.

Yes my friends, he won, but even when Bush won in 2000, and the Republicans won the house and the senate in 1994, they didn’t get to wield this kind of arrogant power. The democrats wouldn’t let them. Even though the democrats were not in charge, they acted like it, and they told the majority Republicans at every turn that they had to be included in everything. But now? Not so. The democrats are in charge, and that is what is going to be. The republicans have NO say in anything! They are the minority and they had better act that way! That is the kind of corrupted and complete power that the democrats have been working to get since the Republican takeover of the house and senate in 1994. They have been working towards this, even while not in charge, throwing their weight around like they were. Crying for bi-partisanship in everything, which they got more than they let on. The Republicans probably giving in to their demands thinking that when they lost power the democrats would do the same. NOPE. That ain’t going to happen. The story on Politico goes on to say:

The exchange arose as top House and Senate Republicans expressed concern to the president about the amount of spending in the package. They also raised red flags about a refundable tax credit that returns money to those who don’t pay income taxes, the sources said.

The Republicans stressed that they want to include more middle class tax cuts in the package, citing their proposal to cut the two lowest tax rates — 15% and 10% — to ten percent and five percent, rather than issue the refundable credit Obama wants.

….But perhaps taking a cue from Obama’s “I won” line when Democrats were asked if they were concerned about Repulbicans blocking the package, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid had a swift one-word answer: “No.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the bill was on track for passage by February 16, while Republicans continued to voice their opposition.

“We expressed our concerns about some of the spending that’s being proposed in the House bill,” House minority leader John Boehner said after meeting with Obama.

“How can you spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives?” Boehner asked. “How does that stimulate the economy?”

Boehner also went on to say that “Government can’t solve this problem.”

At least, someone there gets it. Government cannot solve this problem. Especially according to Reid, the stimulus funds, that are nearing $1 trillion dollars now, ‘won’t be pumped into the economy until 2010 and doesn’t provide an accurate picture of how it will help.’ What???!???!!!

They can’t even tell if it’s even going to work and yet they want to spend a trillion more of your money just because they can?

Lets get this into prospective here. Here in Indianapolis, Indiana, there is a car dealer that is working to get out car loans to the tune of 1.5 billion. Now if you think about it, 1.5 billion is one hell of a lot less than one trillion, and here is what the commercial says. ‘Just how much is one point five billion? If you got 3,000 dollars a day, you would get it for over 3,000 years before it would be used up. 1.5 billion is a lot of money people, and 1 trillion is much much much more and our democratic congress is flipping that amount out, like it is chump change. Just where in the hell are they going to get this money? And they are saying now what they have been saying all along. If it doesn’t pass now, the economy will be in bad shape…..Let’s see.

Remember Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and that bailout? The democrats and the government passed that off as, ‘if it doesn’t happen the economy will suffer.’ So it happened. The same thing was said about the next four bailouts…..if it doesn’t happen, we will all suffer for it.

This wanton spending of money that is coming out of the pockets of generations not yet even thought of yet, is disgraceful and shameful.

But the democrats don’t care. They won, and they are in power now and can do whatever they damn well please. When are we going to wise up and put a stop to this?

The democrats ran on the platform of change and won with that. One of the talking points of that was the amount of money the Bush administration had spent…..and the way the national debt “skyrocketed”!

Hell people, at the rate the democrats are going now, the Bush years are going to look like a microscopic drop in the bucket in comparision, in just a short period of time. And in four years? I hate to think about it. A trillion here, a trillion there, a trillion over in the corner, a couple trillion for this, a couple trillion for that…..Shit people, we are heading for an economic disaster that will make the ’29 crash look like a walk in complete luxury, the park. Can’t you see it coming? And if you do, why aren’t you doing anything about it?

We are in trouble people, and we voted the trouble in. This has got to stop because it is quickly getting out of control, and we are all going to pay for it in the end. Obama has even said so. Folks, he told us what he was going to do. That should have scared us into not voting him in……..but I have to say this. He is keeping his promise. It’s happening, and we are not going to be liking it when the bill comes due. But then, it will be too late. It isn’t now. We have to call Washington and let them know we do not want this. It is the only way now, because we have a Power hungry group of people there, who now have the power, for years they have chased. And they will not give it up to the concerns of Republicans in the House. And if that doesn’t concern you…..maybe this will This, about the 825 billion stimulus bill so far, is a quote from Nancy Pelosi: “It has grown, and we’re still in the process.” Oh my God. This spending spree, that everyone else is going to have to pay for, has got to be put to a halt, before this country is bankrupt. And it is coming folks. It is coming.

God Bless America
God Bless our Troops while we can
God Bless my readers, my listeners on BTR and my viewers on You tube….

About Robert P. Garding

I am a Reagan Conservative, who is very alarmed at the Liberals who have just lost their majority over our government, but continue to act like it never happened. They have to be stopped. NOW or even sooner.

I’ll agree with you on many points in this post, Robert. The bailouts for the banks ended up useless, and largely more damaging than helpful. Big banks rather than putting it toward toxic debts, used it for personal gains. The only things I can add as a what we should’ve done speculation are “we should’ve had a bank to the banks level of oversight” or “We shouldn’t have done it.” Either way we would’ve made fit that the foreignly borrowed money (because lets face it, tax payer money was more than spent for the year, it’s only still ours in the sense that it’ll be paid for eventually…) was spent better and given back.

I agree that the stimulus tax refund should’ve been a tax cut instead of just a refund. This is an agreeable term, and is a longer term help for those middle-class families.

But, I will not agree that all of the spending is not necessary in this case. The infrastructure projects that are apart of this spending bill are much needed, and will be a big help to the stagnant job market. We do need to establish more sources for our electric power, and we do need a greater spread of those lines so that we can make a push in the future for electric vehicles whether they be full electric or plug-in hybrid to be truly feasible as primary transportation sources. Our roads do need improved, and more well designed. The idea of making health records electronically recorded will make things easier and quicker to access, and with properly designed software, more useful for the doctors themselves.

And a lot of schools do need the help that has been proposed. No Child Left Behind had the wrong philosophy, you don’t cut funding from under-productive schools, you work with that school to diagnose the problem, and you help fund a solution to that problem. Our schools need better technology so children can truly be ready for the world, and college students do need help paying for the cost of that greater education.

These are things that need fixing, and the private sector hasn’t been doing them for one reason or another. These are things that will give people jobs and help them spend more in our worried economy. And more importantly, it will help America be advanced properly to where it needs to stand in terms of education and technological spread internationally.

But alas, I’m sure you’ll disagree, and that’s you’re right. But the majority of voting Americans elected our current officials, and as such things are stuck in this current reign until house and Senate elections in two years.

reply from Robert: Actually I do agree Jinno. It seems you have started to think. You are right that there are things that do need the money spent on, and I didn’t even get to those. My whole thing on this post was that the government has been royally screwing us by doing these bailouts that should have been left alone in the first place. If they had been, maybe some of these businesses would have gone out of business, and I look at it this way. If your business practices put you in the condition you are in, let your business practices take you down. I want no part in bailing you out cause you couldn’t conduct business right. If we had done that, there would have been all these trillions of dollars that have been spent on the bailouts, not spent, not now owed, that could have been used in wiser ways. Thanks for the comment Jinno.

Oh Robert you dumbass. After 8 years of the most arrogantly powermad administration whose party controlled all three branches of government for the majority of that time and you think you have a leg to stand on making those complaints about democrats? Do yourself a favor. Have some dignity and tuck your head between your head between your knees for a while.

By the way, I wasn’t planning on coming over here for a while, but you popped up on Blog Rocket and you know I can’t resist. That Poor Republican schmuck closed his blog comments after my last barrage. I’ve got to hand it to you, you’re both really really dumb, but at least you have the balls to argue.

reply from Robert: I would call you a dumbass too but that is just too childish. But you are wrong anyway. During the years that the Republicans were in charge, the democrats constantly cried and whined because they had no power and the republicans needed to be more bi partisan, which they were. Something the democrats will NOT do, because they are too power hungry. You need to find a more intelligent way to express yourself when you are not right, rather than name calling and putting others down. That only makes you look stupid.

The Dems/libs craved power. They were willing to stoke fears of an economic apocalypse, when the economy was in fact going great guns. They were willing to promote rabid hatred of their own president. They were even willing to undermine the defense of this nation just to regain domestic political power. Now they have and there will be hell to pay!

  3. Seane-Anna says:

Jason! Perhaps you love the Dems so much because you are so arrogant yourself. You really think your constant name calling in lieu of intelligent discussion marks you as smart. Trust me, it doesn’t. It really, really doesn’t.

And Robert, your post was spot on. Where ARE the Dems going to get all that money? And if the first “stimulus” package and bailouts didn’t work why do the Dems think more of the same will work now? Just because Obama won the election and the Dems are now in charge? Yep, that’s arrogant!

And what’s this about hundreds of millions of dollars being spent on contraceptives in a stimulus package?! That will stimulate something but it won’t be the economy!

    reply from Robert:
Isn’t that a great thing to add to a stimulus package, that is supposed to help the economy? The problem is, the economy would come back faster if the government would just keep their freaking hands out of it. But they won’t, and when it finally comes back, they will take credit for it…when in fact they were the ones who made it as bad as it’s going to get.
