Anything to Give themselves more of a Voting Majority….and our borders….

What would be the uproar, if the Republicans had the slim majority, and they tried this? I will tell you people. There would be an outrage! As a matter of fact, when the Republicans were in power, this law that the Democrats are trying to pass now was not in effect, but was when they were in power before that. It seems the Democrats can’t have enough of a majority so they have to change the rules to get more. Here is the story:

* WASHINGTON- When the bells ring announcing a vote, 435 members of the House stream out of their hearings and offices and head for the House floor. Five others, banned from voting, seldom bother.

That would change if the new Democratic majority succeeds in changing the rules (something that they always do) this week to give partial voting rights to the delegates from the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam and the Virgin Islands. A vote is scheduled Wednesday on restoring the rule. (Restoring it for them only.

It was in effect in 1993 and 1994 –the last time the Democrats were in power — but rescended when the Republicans took over Congress in 1995. (Convenient huh?)

The rule that existed breifly a decade ago let delegates vote in what is called the “committee of the whole,” a term for the procedures the House uses when debating and amending a bill before going to a final vote. But the rule also stipulated that if a delegate’s vote has a decisive impact on the outcome, the committee of the whole disbands and the full House votes on the issue without delegate participation.

That was to avoid a contitutional challenge. A federal judge in 1993 upheld the rule letting delegates vote, but only because of the automatic revote feature. He said that because the delegate vote had no ultimate effect on legislative power, it did not violate Article I or any other part of the Constitution…..House Republican Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., in a floor discussion with Hoyer, suggested that since the delegate vote can’t affect the outcome, the real purpose of the rule change was to “give a deceptively large margin” to the Democrats. The only Republican among the five delegates is Resident Commissioner Luis Fortuno of Puerto Rico.

It is scary that the Democrats change laws to help themselves to stuff that they would never let anyone else do. I am totally disgusted with them, especially now. If these people, the five that are being considered, want a vote….become a state for crying out loud. You are not so you do not deserve the vote you are after. And Washington DC is a different story. The laws were made to keep them from voting because they could see Washington DC trying to get things that would only help them, and no one else. (Government corruption and all that, and don’t we have enough of that?)

People, things have been set up for a reason, and to keep this country running right, it is imperative the rules are followed. changing rules to help out one side over another is wrong. Giving votes to Representatives of Commonwealths or territories while not states, is also wrong! It is also, the lazy person’s way out.

Just like the Immigrations problem we have. The laws, already exist on the books, that provide the answers to what has been a nagging problem over the last decade or two. We have people here illegally, and the law says to find them, ship them back and/or fine them….not give them amnesty!

That is the lazy way out of a problem that has been festering for years. And the problem with amnesty is, it will only cause more illegals to try to get here. And do we really know who all these illegals are? No we don’t! And in this time of terrorist attacks all over the world, that should concern everyone. And you get me right on this one. I am against Bush for this one. If there was a poll out there on this now, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the headline: Robert Garding, staunch Reagan Conservative does not support Bush! Well, I do not support anyone when they are doing the wrong thing. President Bush on Iraq, I support. President Bush on the Illegal Immigration thing, I do NOT! On that he is wrong, and so is everyone who supports this idiotic and suicidal idea. With the millions of undocumented illegals here, do we have any assurances that they are all here with no ideas against the United States? And why does the press get orgasmic to show news stories of these illegals protesting for their rights? rights that they do NOT and should NOT have! Unless they go back to their country, and come back the right and legal way.

We can’t dilly-dally around with this people. We are allowing an invasion of God knows who, and God knows what into our country, and Heaven help ups if we do not stop it. And Soon!

God Bless America
God Bless our Troops
God Bless my Readers

About Robert P. Garding

I am a Reagan Conservative, who is very alarmed at the Liberals who have just lost their majority over our government, but continue to act like it never happened. They have to be stopped. NOW or even sooner.
