Tonight, about an hour or so ago, Saddam Hussein was hanged for his crimes against humanity. The reports say that it went off as planned, with no hitches. The reports says that it happened outside the green zone. It has been reported that there were over a hundred people who volunteered to be the one to pull the handle to execute the ousted Dictator. Doesn’t say much for the love of his people, that he always talked about. Here is the report that I got from the news:

Iraqi TV says Saddam Hussein executed

By CHRISTOPHER TORCHIA and QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA, Associated Press Writers 10 minutes ago

Saddam Hussein, the shotgun-waving dictator who ruled Iraq with a remorseless brutality for a quarter-century and was driven from power by a U.S.-led war that left his country in shambles, was taken to the gallows and executed Saturday, Iraqi state-run television reported.
It was a grim end for the 69-year-old leader who had vexed three U.S. presidents. Despite his ouster, Washington, its allies and the new Iraqi leaders remain mired in a fight to quell a stubborn insurgency by Saddam loyalists and a vicious sectarian conflict.
Also hanged were Saddam’s half-brother Barzan Ibrahim and Awad Hamed al-Bandar, the former chief justice of the Revolutionary Court.
State-run Iraqiya television news announcer said “criminal Saddam was hanged to death and the execution started with criminal Saddam then Barzan then Awad al-Bandar.”
The station earlier was airing national songs after the first announcement and had a tag on the screen that read “with Saddam’s execution marks the end of a dark period of Iraq’s history.”
A U.S. judge on Friday refused to stop Saddam’s execution, rejecting a last-minute court challenge.
The execution came 56 days after a court convicted Saddam and sentenced him to death for his role in the killings of 148 Shiite Muslims from a town where assassins tried to kill the dictator in 1982. Iraq’s highest court rejected Saddam’s appeal Monday and ordered him executed within 30 days.

So people it is all over. Some say that the courts were actually American run and that his execution was to be American run, but that isn’t true. The courts never had Americans in it, other than maybe witnesses…it was run by Iraqi’s and the execution was done by Iraqi’s. It was all done by Iraqi’s. That is an important step here, but, there has to be at some point a place where Iraq is going to have to get control of their country. We cannot stay there forever helping them…especially now that the Democrats have taken control of our government.

So the Butcher of Baghdad is now dead, and we have to start worrying anew about maybe someone worse taking his place…..or not.

So now Saddam is finding out that God is the actual being that will stand in his way to salvation and he is now finding out that he is not going to get the 72 virgins. Too bad that his followers won’t find this out till they are dead.

But the news here is, that the 69 year old Saddam Hussein is dead. He was hanged about an hour ago, and that ends effectively his tyranny. All praise God.

God bless America
God bless our troops
and God bless my readers

News media is anxious to show the stills taken by the Iraqi government, but even though I am glad he is gone, because I believe it was God’s Will and judgement, I don’t relish seeing any pictures. We need to forget him now, and go on with trying to get the Sunni’s to accept the fact. You are right about the Democrat Party taking over, we will be fortunate to be given time and effort to win. This would make the sacrifice of over 3000 dead and no telling how many wounded, and thousands of our military for naught. How tragic that would be. But mark my words, the liberal trash want it to end in disgrace just like Viet Nam.

Amen to that. I have noted that there is a video out there of his hanging, but like you said, I have no desire to see it, and that is the reason I used the photo I did on this post. I didn’t feel I needed to use one of him hanging or of him after….thanks for your comment.
