Democrats: Why can’t they admit someone else is right, other than them?

Watching the Democrats responding to Bush is always fun, because no matter what President Bush says, the Democrats are always against it. And it really doesn’t matter what side of the isle he chooses to speak about, to the Democrats he is wrong. If he suddenly changed and went with what they want on the War on Terror, they would still say he is wrong. So, what is wrong with that? I can tell you. EVERYTHING! All that the Democrats seem to stand for now is to destroy the President. For many reasons that is wrong. For America it is wrong, and for the world it is wrong and for our survival it is wrong.

In his weekly radio address President Bush said, *”Gerald Ford’s life spanned nine decades, and took him from the football fields of his boyhood in Michigan to the halls of power in Washington, D.C. At every stage of his journey, he displayed a decency, patriotism, and courage that Americans will always admire. As we say goodbye to the year 2006, we bid farewell to one of the finest public servants America has ever known. We give thanks for the gift of his remarkable life, for the caring man who touched so many lives, and the wise President who helped heal our Nation.”

And here is the Democrats response:

**”Good morning and Happy New Year. This is Congressman- elect Jerry McNerney of Pleasonton, California, a new Member in the 110th Congress.

As we move into the New Year and the new Congress, I am excited about what we can achieve for the American people. In this election, the American people clearly called for a change,” (though not a change like the Democrats think!) “change in the way we do business in Washington, change in the way that we shape our energy policy, and most importantly, a change in direction in Iraq.”………”Democrats will also lead the way for a new direction in Iraq. My son was in the military when he convinced me to run for office, and we continue to keep our soldiers and their families in our prayers. But our troops need more than our well-wishes, and our veterans need more than lip service; we need a change in policy, as confirmed by the Iraq Study group report released earlier this month.

I share the concern of my Demoratic colleagues that President Bush may use his same failed logic to increase our troop strength in Iraq by up to 30,000 soldiers. The incoming chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Ike Skelton, has said that an increase in troops at best won’t change a thing, and at worst could exacerbate the situation even further in Iraq..”

Talking about ex-President Gerald Ford’s death and memorial was the right thing to do, but when it comes to the Democrats, they didn’t mention it at all…..but they did mention Bush’s supposed “own failed logic” in it. I just can’t understand why the Democrats say they are ones that love America but everything they do, always has something in it, that shows just the opposite. President Bush is our Commander-in-Cheif, and he should be accorded the respect of that position whether you agree with him or not. But the Democrats can’t do that, though they demand it on their own stead. How hypocritial that is. We are in for a rough couple of years coming up because the Democrats with fight anything and everything that our President will try to do. And their only reason for this is to get the Public totally against the Republicans, and then a Democrat will get elected into the White House again, Then, we will have another 4 years of bad times. Our economy will stop growing, we will go into another recession, and unemployment will go up, and the democrats will NOT see that it is their agenda that will be the cause of it. I hope that the American public is smarter than they have showed they are with this last election. Cause if they aren’t, they nor the Demorats will know that what is coming was caused by them. And it won’t be the Repbublicans fault, though I am sure that the Demorats will blame them as usual.

Tonight, about an hour or so ago, Saddam Hussein was hanged for his crimes against humanity. The reports say that it went off as planned, with no hitches. The reports says that it happened outside the green zone. It has been reported that there were over a hundred people who volunteered to be the one to pull the handle to execute the ousted Dictator. Doesn’t say much for the love of his people, that he always talked about. Here is the report that I got from the news:

Iraqi TV says Saddam Hussein executed

By CHRISTOPHER TORCHIA and QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA, Associated Press Writers 10 minutes ago

Saddam Hussein, the shotgun-waving dictator who ruled Iraq with a remorseless brutality for a quarter-century and was driven from power by a U.S.-led war that left his country in shambles, was taken to the gallows and executed Saturday, Iraqi state-run television reported.
It was a grim end for the 69-year-old leader who had vexed three U.S. presidents. Despite his ouster, Washington, its allies and the new Iraqi leaders remain mired in a fight to quell a stubborn insurgency by Saddam loyalists and a vicious sectarian conflict.
Also hanged were Saddam’s half-brother Barzan Ibrahim and Awad Hamed al-Bandar, the former chief justice of the Revolutionary Court.
State-run Iraqiya television news announcer said “criminal Saddam was hanged to death and the execution started with criminal Saddam then Barzan then Awad al-Bandar.”
The station earlier was airing national songs after the first announcement and had a tag on the screen that read “with Saddam’s execution marks the end of a dark period of Iraq’s history.”
A U.S. judge on Friday refused to stop Saddam’s execution, rejecting a last-minute court challenge.
The execution came 56 days after a court convicted Saddam and sentenced him to death for his role in the killings of 148 Shiite Muslims from a town where assassins tried to kill the dictator in 1982. Iraq’s highest court rejected Saddam’s appeal Monday and ordered him executed within 30 days.

So people it is all over. Some say that the courts were actually American run and that his execution was to be American run, but that isn’t true. The courts never had Americans in it, other than maybe witnesses…it was run by Iraqi’s and the execution was done by Iraqi’s. It was all done by Iraqi’s. That is an important step here, but, there has to be at some point a place where Iraq is going to have to get control of their country. We cannot stay there forever helping them…especially now that the Democrats have taken control of our government.

So the Butcher of Baghdad is now dead, and we have to start worrying anew about maybe someone worse taking his place…..or not.

So now Saddam is finding out that God is the actual being that will stand in his way to salvation and he is now finding out that he is not going to get the 72 virgins. Too bad that his followers won’t find this out till they are dead.

But the news here is, that the 69 year old Saddam Hussein is dead. He was hanged about an hour ago, and that ends effectively his tyranny. All praise God.

Merry Christmas is the greeting People….

I just got through reading Ann Coulter’s post called Kwanzaa: Holiday From the FBI

“President Bush’s Kwanzaa message this year skipped the patently absurd claim of years past that African-Americans and people around the world reflect on African heritage during Kwanzaa.” Instead he simply said, ‘I send greetings to those observing Kwanzaa.'”

Now I have to say this one more time, something that shouldn’t have to be said at all….but apparently people are too guillible so it has to be said…..

All the Politically Correct bull about making sure that everyone is pleased and happy, is the most ridiculous thing that we can partake in. We are humans people, there is no way that everyone can be happy at the same time. Physically impossible. So why are we killing ourselves to try to make everyone happy and equal. It just isn’t possible.

And Yes, I am saying we are not equal. Can I jump and play basketball like Michael Jordon No I can’t my talents don’t lie in that direction. Do I feel bad about that? NO! And I shouldn’t. Michael Jordan is my superior when it comes to that, cause I can’t do it. Even if he tutored me in the game for years, I couldn’t be as good as him. He is better than I will ever be. But do you hear me running to get a rally to protest that? NOPE….cause it is a fact of life. No one is equal….but everyone has talents that make them better than others….in that thing. Michael Jordan’s talents are sports. Basketball, baseball, etc. I on the other hand am good at playing the position of Quarterback in football. But I am not big enough to play professional sports so I am left out there too. I am not the equal of those players cause I am not big enough. Am I crying about that? NOPE Fact of life. Everyone is not equal.

I am also good at writing, and have written a series of novels, which by the way haven’t been published. I am in the process of trying to get the first one published now, but it hasn’t happened yet, and may not ever happen. But if it doesn’t, I won’t cry discrimination. I will accept it. Hey Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson do you hear that?

The most persecuted single factor in life in the last 10 to 20 years has been men since Women’s lib made everything that a man does evil and bad….but in that I am not complaining either, cause I know that my God knows me for what I am . I do not need Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, or Teddy Kennedy to tell me that I am not good enough, cause they know nothing about that. Only God knows this, and no amount of bickering by these dopes will change that.

The only thing on this that a man or waman can tell about others is if they are stupid. This is told by their actions, and anyone who acts stupid will be deemed stupid.

People, we live in a CHRISTIAN country. Not a Muslim Country, or an Arabic country. We live in a Christian country. America was founded on Christian beliefs and principles.

Iraq and Iran are Muslim countries. When visiting there, we do not expect Christian things to happen, so why does everyone expect to come here and be treated differently than they would treat a Christian in their country?

All this bull about how we should say Merry Christmas to other nationalities in their language and terms is stupid and ridiculous. You are in America. You are in a Christian Country. This country was founded on those beliefs. Get over it. Whether you want to believe it or not, it is even written into the Conststitution. So, don’t come here expecting us to change for you, when you are not willing to do the same for us, whether it be in your country or in ours. Sure there are Muslims here, they are accepted. Just like there are Mormans, Christians, Catholics and Jews. They are accepted. So do the same for us Christians!

It is as Ann Coulter goes on to say, that ‘before 1966, Kwanzaa didn’t even exist!’

It was invented by a black radical FBI pawn, Ron Everett (aka Maulana Karenga). His warped ideology has done nothing but spread violence and murder.

*It seems the founder of Kwanzaa wasn’t any more ethical than those who sung its praises. In fact, at the same time Al Sharpton was glorifying the new holiday, its creator was sitting in a California prison for torturing two black women who were members of the United Slaves, a black nationalist cult he had founded.

The cult leader Ron N. Everett went by the name Karenga and in the 60’s took upon himself the title “maulana,” which means “master teacher” in Swahili. He was born on a poultry farm in Maryland, the fourteenth child of a Baptist minister. He moved to California in the late 50’s to attend LA Community College. He later moved to UCLA, where he got a Master’s degree in political science and African Studies and by the mid 1960’s, he had established himself as a leader of the black movement- a self described “cultural nationalist”. He had purposely used the term “nationalist” to distinguish his group from the Black Panthers who were Marxists. He wanted a separate black state while the Marxists worked for integration.

The friction between his group and the Panthers mirrored the centuries of tribal warring in Africa. Both groups were heavily recruiting at UCLA in the 60’s and vying for control of the newly developed African Studies Department. Karenga and his group backed one candidate for dept. head and the Panthers another. Both began carrying guns on campus and on Jan. 17. 1969, about 150 students gathered at the lunchroom to discuss the problem. Two Panther members had been admitted to the college as part of a federal program that helped black high-school dropouts enter the university. The meeting turned violent and ended with two of Karenga’s group, George P. Stiner and Larry Joseph Stiner killing two. The Stiner brothers shot two Panthers John Huggins, 23 and Alprentice “Bunchy” Carter, 26 – dead.

UCLA chancellor Charles E. Young, scared that the violence would hurt admissions said “The students here have handled themselves in an absolutely impeccable manner. They have been concerned. They haven’t argued who the director should be; they have been saying what kind of person he should be.” The remarks were made after the shooting and the university went ahead with its Afro-American Studies Program. Meanwhile, Karenga’s group grew and performed assaults and robberies always following the law laid down in The Quotable Karenga, a book that laid out the “True Path of Blackness.” “The sevenfold path of blackness is think black, talk black, act black, create black, buy black, vote black, and live black,”

So, Kwanzaa is NOT a national black celebration to Celebrat Christmas. Are we crazy people? All we are doing is giving lowlifes like Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton the power to act like big men, when they are not. Both of them act like everyone should hang on every word they say like it is the gospel truth, when in all actuality, most of what they have to say is an untruth, like Kwanzaa.

The “dewhiting” of America, that someone like Al Sharpton wants is only the working out of society, the moral fabric that has held this nation together.

It doesn’t matter if the moral fabric of a nation is white, black, brown or red, if it is based on goodness then it is good. You can’t make up something bad and expect it to be good. The man was evil. Only evil can do this to people who follow you.

** On May 9, 1970 he initiated the torture session that led to his imprisonment. The torture session was described in the L.A. Times on May 14, 1971. “The victims said they were living at Karenga’s home when Karenga accused them of trying to kill him by placing crystals in his food and water and in various areas of his house. When they denied it, allegedly they were beaten with an electrical cord and a hot soldering iron was put in Miss Davis’ mouth and against her face. Police were told that one of Miss Jones’ toes was placed in a small vise, which then was tightened by the men and one woman. The following day Karenga told the women that ‘Vietnamese torture is nothing compared to what I know.” Miss Tamao put detergent in their mouths; Smith turned a water hose full force on their faces, and Karenga, holding a gun, threatened to shoot both of them. The victims Deborah Jones and Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothing.”

Karenga was convicted of two counts of felonious assault and one count of false imprisonment. He was sentenced on Sept. 17, 1971 to serve one to ten years in prison. After being released from prison in 1975, he remade himself as Maulana Ron Karenga, went into academics, and by 1979 was running the Black Studies Department at California State University in Long Beach and converted to Marxism. Kwanzaa’s seven principles include “collective work” and “cooperative economics.” He is still there and everyone has almost forgotten the cruel and vicious attacks committed on his fellow blacks. Kwanzaa has been successfully marketed and is now heralded as a great African tradition.

Do you want to follow someone that is evil, or do you want to follow God and Jesus? I know my answer to this one…..and it definitely isn’t evil.

This one is a wonderful proof of the Liberal Bias of the Press….

I seriously love this one. John Kerry makes his “joke” about our troops, then goes over to see them, and takes a visit, you know, those Photo Ops that the Liberals always go for? Well, this one really backfired on our little Johnny boy. He went over to Iraq to visit to our troops, and while he was there, he excercised alone, ate alone….spent most of the time there alone, except for the people that he travelled with.

Here is the story on this visit, along with the photo above:

Troops halp Jon Carry in Irak

On his visit to Iraq, Senator Kerry apparently got something like the silent treatment from the troops who are “stuck” there. WDAY’s Scott Hennen quotes a message from a friend serving in Iraq:

This is a true story….Check out this photo from our mess hall at the US Embassy yesterday morning. Sen. Kerry found himself all alone while he was over here. He cancelled his press conference because no one came, he worked out alone in the gym w/o any soldiers even going up to say hi or ask for an autograph (I was one of those who was in the gym at the same time), and he found himself eating breakfast with only a couple of folks who are obviously not troops.

What is amazing is Bill O’Reilly came to visit with us and the troops at the CSH the same day and the line for autographs extended through the palace and people waited for two hours to shake his hand. You decide who is more respected and loved by us servicemen and women!

Scott comments:

I think it’s fair to say that the photo qualifies for consideration as part X of James Taranto’s series on the troops responding to Charles Rangel’s reiteration of John Kerry’s calumny (see today’s incredible part IX of Taranto’s series here).

UPDATE: Scott writes that he’ll be filling in for Sean Hannity on his radio show Wednesday and Thursday, and promises to talk about the photo. Scott is one of the best local talk radio hosts in the country. Check him out on the Hannity show this week.

JOHN adds: I suppose Kerry was able to console himself by remembering the warm reception he got in Syria. *taken from “Powerline News” (

Now if that isn’t just the peaches and the cream? John Kerry insults our troops, then he decides that he has to go over to Iraq to visit them, and they snub him. I love this more than you can imagine. But, I just bet that this does not hit the press. If it was Bush who went over there and was snubbed by the troops, it would be all over the press. But this? NOPE cause it is one of their boys….this will be ignored like last weeks meatloaf.

A response to a comment ….

I got a comment to a post of mine on my blog where I was stating, “Where is the Liberal press on this one?” I wasn’t going to post anything more today, but this deserves a post. Here is the comment:

December 25th, 2006 at 7:30 am · Edit

i saw in this that you were trying to say that republicans are always getting the book thrown at them, however if you would look at the past you would see that this republican nation is always the party to be the ones to be the sneakiest and the one that is reasy to throw the book at whatever walks. For example when president nixon was in office and there was the entire watergate scandal, his entire administration tried to not only destroy the right of press(and this has nothing to do wiith political stand points, there was a republican and and democrat involved in exposing Nixon), but being involved in many secret scandals. Im not saying both sides have the faults but dont say that Democrats are completley under the law because both are equally shifty.

You saw nothing of the sort. I post things from both sides, on what they do wrong, and have done so many times….but….There is a difference between Republicans who do wrong…and democrats. The one difference is, the Republicans get prosecuted for their crimes, Democrats for the most part don’t.

Your example…Nixon. He did wrong. NONE of us deny that, and he got caught and prosecuted for it, by getting impeached.

Teddy Kennedy on the other hand, killed a girl in his car, while driving without insurance, and without a license, and he left the scene of the accident and didn’t report it until the next day, and she died *after an hour or so of struggling* in his car before dying, and he never got diddly squat. As a matter of fact, the person in charge of records at DMV covered up that fact. All of this in in another archived post on my blog addressed below. Clinton, had an affair while in the white house and then lied about it, and essentially got away with it, and you Liberals still think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread! And if you get your way, he will be back in the white house in 2008 with his wife as president!

There was another Democrat Gary Studds, who in the 80’s did the same thing as Foley except he was actually having sex with the underaged page, not instant messaging them like Foley was, and he was re-elected six times after that, and he retired in 1996, ….nothing happened to him, but Foley resigned his position because he knew he had done wrong, and was still harrassed by the press even after he apologised.

Barney Frank, democrat from Massechusetts, in the 1980s ran a male prostitution business out of his house while a senator, and only two democrats in the house in 1990 voted to censure him! John Kerry made that remark about how if ‘you don’t get an education you end up in Iraq’, sending off a firestorm of criticism, and he denied that he meant what he said, but if you watch the video of him saying that speech, he was reading a prepared text……so he knew what was in that speech, and if he knew what was in that speech, he then believed what it was saying…but he denied that he knew what he was saying, he said that he was making a bad joke, he then said that he didn’t mean it…but did he come right out and admit he was wrong? NOPE….there are several differences between the Democrats and the Republicans. I have been saying this for over a year now if people would just read what I was saying…..they would know that I don’t just pick on the democrats, but there is more to find on the Democrats side. Both do wrong, I agree, but the Republicans get hounded and prosecuted by the press and the law, whereas the democrats get a free pass on it, almost every time.

Now I admit, there have been a few democrats over the years that have been prosecuted, and rightly so, but even then the sentence doled out was lighter than it would have been if the person had been a Republican. And yes, there are Liberals in both parties….but I think I have given enough examples of stuff….and by the way….Kennedy is still in office, when he should be in Jail….like the rest of us would be. So if you want to talk about how bad the Republicans are, then back it up. I know the Republicans have done bad things. Nixon was wrong, but in all actuality, he did nothing that others haven’t done too, he just got caught, if I wanted to use the liberals rhetoric on this.

So, if you would go back and read the archives in my blogs (the one I got the information on Gary Studds and Barney Frank were posted at: on October 5, 2006) In there are also posts about things the Repblicans do wrong, and they do wrong…… but they just get prosecuted for it…..unlike the Democrats. And I know that someone will post a comment listing some Republican who did something wrong and didn’t get caught…..I am sure there is one out there somewhere….

And He shall be called Emmanuel…….

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David)

To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them at the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them; and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest,
good will toward men.

Can you imagine, being a young woman, not yet married, and pregnant, 2000 years ago? This had to be one of the hardest things for two people to handle back then.

Until recently, unwed mothers were looked upon with disdain and thought of as, with a lack of other words to use, sluts. Can you imagine being Joseph, finding out that the woman that you are about to marry is pregnant? I am sure that in that time, the friends that he had probably told him to leave her, and find someone who was more worthy of his love. Someone who wasn’t already pregnant with someone else’s baby. To me, Joseph was an amazing man, in that he stayed with Mary, through it all, and was part of the Savior’s birth, and went through it all. Not being able to find a room for his wife to be, in a land where a woman had to be married before she was to give birth. How hard do you think it was to convince Joseph that Mary was still a virgin? That to me would have been the hardest of things to do…..but God did it. God convinced Joseph that his fiancee was truthful to him and hadn’t cheated on him, even though she was a virgin and about to give birth….

And what a birth it was. One that would change the world, and be talked about for thousands of years. Even now it would be hard to explain to a man that a woman, though a virgin was heavy with child.

But Joseph and Mary were amazing people. They travelled on foot and on donkeys, across the vast expanses of nothingness, and at night there were no lights to lead their way.

For a simple people, it would have been hard to deal with the idea, that God’s son was going to be born of Mary, and that he would grow up to be the savior of mankind.

How do you think you would have handled that? How do you think you would have handled raising Jesus, knowing that when you talked to Him or tried to teach him, you were teaching the Son of God? That would have been an awesome responsibility that would would take the stamina out of the strongest of men….but Joseph handled it.

There really isn’t much in the bible about what Joseph did to help raise Jesus, or if Jesus did any of the raising himself. After all, he is the Son of God. He knew everything, even if he was in the flesh. He knew that he was here for a purpose. He knew that someday he would be crucified. He knew that he would raise again from the dead and make death something that would no longer be eternal for mankind, if they believed in God, and Him, Jesus.

For everyone involved in this birth that night 2,000 years ago, it was an awesome night. Filled with the birth of God’s son, and the birth of a promise that God would make to everyman on earth. What an amazing thing to have lived through. What an amazing thing to have been part of. Jesus is Lord, and we are saved because he lived.

Merry Christmas to all
and too all, blessings from above.

The Story of Baby Jesus, and the divine birth, to the salvation of all mankind is the meaning of Christmas, and the reason for the Season. No matter what the Muslins say, or the Christians or the Democrats or the Libertarians or the Republicans….Christmas is and has been celebrated for Centuries, and the reason for this season, and the reason for Christmas is the birth of Christ. I don’t see what is so hard about this, and no matter what anyone says. This is Christmas. The time of year that Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ our savior. May everyone be blessed with a wonderful holiday, and Merry Christmas to all…..

and I hope that you all have a very prosperous and Happy New Year too.

How Liberals weave their lies to be the truth…..

The following story, which is completely true, tells how the Liberals sway American sentiment away from what is actually happening, by telling lies over and over again to make the public perceive a truth that isn’t really the truth.

by Ann Coulter
………New York Times theater critic Frank Rich made headlines on the Drudge Report last week by announcing: “We have lost in Iraq.” Of course, Rich was saying we had lost in Iraq more than six months before we went into Iraq……

Frank Rich has been slinging his mud and his lies about Iraq almost since before most of us knew it was a problem. Just like Ann Coulter said, “Over a year ago, Osama Bin Ladin’s deputy Ayman al-Zawakri wrote to the head of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Masab al-Zarquawi telling him to “be ready starting now” for America to run from Iraq. Frank Rich is a Liberal, and writes for the New York Times, not as a war correspondant, oh no, but as a MOVIE CRITIC! So I guess he really really knows what he is talking about. What a joke! But people are listening to this idiot. And here, Chronicled is what he has said.

And you have to remember folks, he is nothing more than a flipping Movie Critic…..that is where his expertise is….not on war.

August of 2002, he wrote that ‘Bush did not have the support of the American people for war in Iraq and without that he would “mimic another hubnistic Texan President who too a backdoor route into pre-emptive warfare.

(Trouble is here folks, the rhetoric was just starting when support for the war was still strong. This is how liberals make lies the truth in their eyes.)

In April of 2003, one month after we invaded, he said “the looting of Iraq’s museums by Iraqi’s showed our worst instincts at the very dawn of our grandiose project to bring democratic values to the middle east.” (Sounds like he is critiqing a movie doesn’t he? That’s what he is qualified to do after all. See how he is trying to force his view on a public that doesn’t yet believe his lies?)

About six months into the war, while Americans were still well on the side of support for the war, he wrote a column that he named Why are we back in Vietnam? Writing that title alone must have brough back memories of his service in Vietnam……mmmm that’s right…he didn’t serve.

In January of 2004, less than a year after the invasion he wrote this (while still trying to turn the public against Bush and the war): “The greater debate has been over the degree to which the follies of Vietnam are now being re-enacted in Iraq.” And here as I note, this is the first time he ever used the word “follies” in anything he wrote. You also should note, that the debate existed only in his mind….at that time.

A month later, he was writing again such debates in his mind, and came up with this gem. “By wearing the fly boy uniform of his own disputed guard duty” (when President Bush landed on the aircraft carrier) But for the life of me, I can’t remember when or if Rich ever served in the military…..uh…no he didn’t

On May of 2004, he accused Bush of throwing “underprepared and underprotected” American troops in harms way in Iraq. (He wasn’t involved in Vietnam at all. The closest he ever came to combat is reading a book like War and Peace.) Hmmmmm, such an expert we have here…..but only in his mind.

When the Marines left Fallujah he couldn’t help but throw in another gem: “Pictures of Marines retreating from Fallujah, and of that city’s citizens dancing in the streets to celebrate victory over the American liberators.” (I guess this too reminded him of Vietnam, as a defeat of Americans always does this to a Liberal)

In September of 2005, he wrote again about the war (what happened to his expertize of movie critiqing?), “resembles it’s southeast Asian predecessor in it’s upopularity, it’s fictional provocation and it’s unknown exit strategy.” which is an interesting way to say the same exact thing that he said years ago when reviewing the movie “Miss Siagon”. (funny how the Liberals work isn’t it?)

In October of 2004, he said that Bush “had bungled the war in Iraq and, in doing so, may be losing the war against Radical Islamic terrorism as well.” (One of the few times that I have heard a liberal use that term “radical Islamists”)

He of course didn’t explain how he came up with this fact that we were losing the war, with the killing of “tens of thousands” of Islamic Terrosists. So let’s see. Tens of thousands of enemies killed to 3000 Americans…..yep. We’re losing! NOT!!!

In May of this year he said that “the public had turned on the war in Iraq.” But doesn’t he remember that he said the public was against the war from the start? HMMMM caught in another lie. The truth be known, he has been against the war since before it was a war, and he figured if he was, the good little liberal that he is, everyone had to be against it too.

In June, he said, “The public knows defeat when they see it, no matter how many new plans for victory are trotted out to obscure that reality.”

But then if the public would stop listening to idiots like Frank Rich spouting off about things that he knows nothing about, and write him letters telling him so, maybe people like him would shut the heck up and then we could get on with winning the war, like we might already have done, if these liberals would just keep their fat stupid mouths shut, and only talk about things they know about… citiquing MOVIES!

All this talk in the liberal media, about how “we can’t win” unfortunately works. The Liberal Media knows this and uses it. The enemy knows this too, and hopes the American press continues to help them win the war.

Sad isn’t it? That our own press is working to help our enemies win, and our troops to be humiliated in defeat! God Help us all.

Where is the Liberal Press on this one?????

I have been reading all this stuff about Sandy Berger, the former National Security Adviser under Clinton. He removed classified documents from the National Archives, hid them under a construction trailer and later tried to find the trash collector to retrieve them, the agency’s internal watchdog said Wednesday.

The report was issued more than a year after Sandy Berger pleaded guilty and received a criminal sentence for removing the documents.

Now I have a huge question to ask everyone here. Why isn’t the Media all over this one? I looked all over. I heard it on Rush Limbaugh today, but couldn’t find it in the Media anywhere except for Fox. If Sandy Berger had been under President Bush, and had been a Republican, his penalty for pleading guilty would not have been a fine of $50,000, and he would have been ordered to do a lot more than just performing 100 hours of community service. Give me a break people. Like I have said so many times before, if this had been a Republican, the book would have been thrown at him and all hell would have broken loose. You would not have heard the last of it in the media for months, as it would have been in the papers everyday, from every paper…..but this one? Fox is the only one really carrying it and reporting about it. Nothing in Reuters, nothing in the New York Times that I can see….and they are the paper that reports everything even if it is just trivial against the Republicans. But this thing with Sandy Berger is worse than most everything they go orgasmic over with the Republicans. This was done by a National Seurity Adviser, while he was working. And there were witnesses. My God do you realize the implications here?

This is just another stunning portrayal of how the press goes “ga ga” over a Repbulican doing something wrong, but does nothing except ignore it when a Democrat does something wrong. Especially if it has to do with the Clinton Administration.

In the Fox article named Inspector General Says Former National Security Adviser Sandy Berger Hid Classified Docs it says this:

Thursday , December 21, 2006

WASHINGTON — President Clinton’s national security adviser removed classified documents from the National Archives, hid them under a construction trailer and later tried to find the trash collector to retrieve them, the agency’s internal watchdog said Wednesday.
The report was issued more than a year after Sandy Berger pleaded guilty and received a criminal sentence for removing the documents.
Berger took the documents in the fall of 2003 while working to prepare himself and Clinton administration witnesses for testimony to the Sept. 11 commission. Berger was authorized as the Clinton administration’s representative to make sure the commission got the correct classified materials.
Berger’s lawyer, Lanny Breuer, said in a statement that the contents of all the documents exist today and were made available to the commission.
But Rep. Tom Davis, R-Va., outgoing chairman of the House Government Reform Committee, said he’s not convinced that the Archives can account for all the documents taken by Berger. Davis said working papers of National Security Council staff members are not inventoried by the Archives.
“There is absolutely no way to determine if Berger swiped any of these original documents. Consequently, there is no way to ever know if the 9/11 Commission received all required materials,” Davis said.
Berger pleaded guilty to unlawfully removing and retaining classified documents. He was fined $50,000, ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and was barred from access to classified material for three years.
Inspector General Paul Brachfeld reported that National Archives employees spotted Berger bending down and fiddling with something white around his ankles.
The employees did not feel at the time there was enough information to confront someone of Berger’s stature, the report said.
Later, when Berger was confronted by Archives officials about the missing documents, he lied by saying he did not take them, the report said.
Brachfeld’s report included an investigator’s notes, taken during an interview with Berger. The notes dramatically described Berger’s removal of documents during an Oct. 2, 2003, visit to the Archives.
Berger took a break to go outside without an escort while it was dark. He had taken four documents in his pockets.
“He headed toward a construction area. … Mr. Berger looked up and down the street, up into the windows of the Archives and the DOJ (Department of Justice), and did not see anyone,” the interview notes said.
He then slid the documents under a construction trailer, according to the inspector general. Berger acknowledged that he later retrieved the documents from the construction area and returned with them to his office.
“He was aware of the risk he was taking,” the inspector general’s notes said. Berger then returned to the Archives building without fearing the documents would slip out of his pockets or that staff would notice that his pockets were bulging.
The notes said Berger had not been aware that Archives staff had been tracking the documents he was provided because of earlier suspicions from previous visits that he was removing materials. Also, the employees had made copies of some documents.
In October 2003, the report said, an Archives official called Berger to discuss missing documents from his visit two days earlier. The investigator’s notes said, “Mr. Berger panicked because he realized he was caught.”
The notes said that Berger had “destroyed, cut into small pieces, three of the four documents. These were put in the trash.”
After the trash had been picked up, Berger “tried to find the trash collector but had no luck,” the notes said.
Significant portions of the inspector general’s report were redacted to protect privacy or national security.

We as citizens of the United States need to be more careful and vigilant about what we perceive is going on in this country. We have to try to make our memories better, cause we are forgetting what the Democrats do wrong, but we don’t let the press let us forget what the Republicans do wrong.

Now don’t get me wrong here people. What the Repblicans do wrong should not be forgotten. But for the same reasons, what the Democrats do wrong should not be forgiven and not dismissed either. The Democrats in Congress and the Senate do this on a regular basis, and also the press does this on a regular basis. This is wrong and needs to stop. This double standard that the press and the Democrats hold as wonderful, is not good and needs to be brought to a halt.

If you still don’t believe what is going on think of what has happened to Foley, Delay, and other Republicans, then look at what has happened to Teddy Kennedy, after he killed that girl in his car, what happened to Clinton after his affair with Lewinsky while he was president. The list goes on and on for Democrats getting away with things, and Republicans getting the shaft. This double standard has to stop. We are destroying our country, and this is one of the things that is doing it. Democrats have to be held accountable for their actions……just like they expect the Republincans to be held accountable for theirs, and are! So be it, but lets be fair and have both be accountable for their actions, instead of just the Republicans.

The Fairtax blog burst for 12/20/06

FairTax Blogburst for 20-Dec-2006

I came across this article several weeks ago from one of my favorite columnists. Professor Williams has a very succinct way of conveying complicated topics and themes. If you are not a regular reader of his, you should at least check out his regular column at Townhall.

In this piece, Professor Williams tackles the Fair Tax, and as we would hope he describes some of the highlights and benefits that would be reaped upon its passage.

If enacted, the Fair Tax would eliminate: the federal individual income tax, alternative minimum tax, corporate and business taxes, capital gains tax, Social Security and Medicare taxes, and estate and gift taxes. These taxes would be replaced by a 23 percent sales tax on all goods and services sold at the retail level. The Fair Tax would be revenue-neutral in the sense that it would replace the revenue from current federal taxes; thus, it would change the way government is funded. Our current tax code is an abomination, and we desperately need that change. The time Americans spend simply complying with our tax code comes to 5.8 billion hours of record-keeping, filing taxes, consulting, legal and accounting services. Breaking those hours down to a 40-hour work week, it translates into a workforce of 2.77 million people. That’s more than the workforce of our auto, aircraft, computer and steel manufacturing industries combined.

The Fair Tax has much to recommend in its favor, such as being a more efficient form of taxation. It would go a long way toward protecting our privacy and preventing Congress from using the tax code to micromanage our lives. The Fair Tax is an excellent idea, but only under three conditions: first, the repeal of the Sixteenth Amendment that created the income tax; second, a provision fixing the tax at, say, 23 percent; and third, a constitutional amendment mandating that a tax increase requires a three-fourths vote of Congress. Notwithstanding any provisions within the Fair Tax, if the Sixteenth Amendment weren’t repealed, down the road we’d find ourselves with a national sales tax and an income tax.

But, what I found to be the most interesting is the Professor William’s take on the prospects of the passage of the Fair tax. Seeing it as a tremendous obstacle, Professor Williams is quite pessimistic in outlook. While we here at the Fair Tax Blogburst respectfully disagree with this synopsis, his underlying rationale for the difficulty of passage of the Fair tax cannot be ignored.

You say, “Williams, it sounds as if you don’t trust Congress.” I don’t trust Congress any farther than I can toss an elephant. During the debate prior to ratification of the Sixteenth Amendment, congressmen said that only the rich would ever pay income taxes. In 1917, only one-half of one percent of income earners paid income taxes. Those earning $250,000 a year in today’s dollars paid one percent, and those earning $6 million in today’s dollars paid 7 percent. The lie that only the rich would ever pay income taxes was simply propaganda to dupe Americans into ratifying the Sixteenth Amendment.

Here’s my prediction: The Fair Tax will never become law. The two most powerful congressional committees are the House Ways and Means and the Senate Finance committees. These committees write tax law, and as such they are able to confer tax privileges on some Americans at the expense of other Americans. The Fair Tax would reduce or eliminate this form of congressional privilege-granting power and, subsequently, campaign contributions from the beneficiaries would dwindle.

The method used to finance the federal government is very important, but I’ve always argued that government spending is the true measure of its impact on our lives. If there were a Fair Tax, what’s to stop Congress from deficit spending or inflating the currency? Deficit spending and inflation are simply alternative forms, albeit less obvious, of taxation.

You say, “What’s Williams’ solution?” My solution is an amendment limiting federal spending to a fixed percentage, say, 10 percent of the gross domestic product. You say, “Why 10 percent?” If 10 percent is good enough for the Baptist Church, it certainly ought to be good enough for Congress.

The question we must ask is “What makes Williams think that this will pass any easier than the FairTax?” The outcome is doubtful for the exact same reasons that Williams argues would doom the FairTax — the committees which decide where certain monies are spent can also confer privileges on some Americans at the expense of other Americans. Limiting spending to 10% would eliminate much of the congressional privilege-granting power, and corresponding campaign contributions.

The one thing that the FairTax has behind it is the power of a grassroots organization. Ultimately, this is still a government of, by, and for the people. It is up to us to see that our representatives perform as we believe they should. It is up to us to insure passage of the FairTax bill. We must take Mr. Williams arguments for the FairTax and spread them as widely as possible, while ignoring his pessimism. Together, we can get this done.

And maybe in the meantime we can also cut spending, thus reducing the amount of tax required for the FairTax. Now isn’t that an idea?
