Just as our forefathers declared their independence from the tyranny of King George so we, their descendants, need to realize that the precious document they left us authorizes us to declare OUR independence from tyranny NOW. Just because our chief executive is called “president” rather than “king”, and just because we have a Congress rather than a parliament, doesn’t mean the DoI does not or cannot apply today. The arrogant slobs in Washington had better take notice. They may have another American Revolution on their hands soon!

I can’t agree with a lot about what you’ve written here. The Earth really IS the only boat we’ve got. Whatever its cause climate change is with us and is an ongoing condition of the planet(s) over aeons. You are right to say that if a space is left vacant, especially religious space and a vacuum of opinion is perceived, then others – often those with nefarious objectives – will fill that space.
There’s a framework for reflecting on all sides of an issue, which you and your readers may find of interest? It originated in the health care (another constant on people’s lips!) and includes four knowledge domains with a resource for each. For example POLITICAL:

reply from Robert: You can give all the models that you want. It has been proven that most models do not tell what is going to happen…only what global warming people want it to say. You can change things over and over again to say what you want. One of the things that I posted about, about a year ago, was the Weather stations that are all over the nation…and the places that they are at. They are supposed to be a certain distance from anything that can cause heat…yet most of them are close to heater/ac vents, where hot air comes out, or are surrounded by black top asphalt, which absorbs the heat of the sun and gives a higher temperature.

I am not saying that we shouldn’t take care of the earth. What I am saying though is the readings that the global warming fanatics are using are false and not right. But they don’t care because it helps them to push the Global Warming agenda that the left in this country has been pushing at the total expense of this country’s people. The people are doing their part by recycling and not using as much fossil fuel as they once did……and the earth is not warming now, it is cooling, against all those “models” that you posted here. Sorry…global warming has been debunked…and Al Gore hasn’t answered the challenge yet. I doubt if he will because he doesn’t want to be publically proven wrong.
