Things You Can’t Do!
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot lift the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away men’s initiative

It’s all so simple and obvious that you would think that there would be a thriving movement centered around these ideas. Oh wait. There was. Unfortunately it appears a whole new generation will have to learn these truths the hard way.
There are so many things that we could learn, if we would just go back to the basics of this nation’s ideals and re apply them. Yes people, things change, but the ideals between right and wrong do not. They are and always have been a constant, no matter how many men along the way try to change how we feel about them. Right is always right, and wrong is always wrong. IT CAN’T BE more simple than that. And like the post said, it’s sad that a whole new generation has to learn these ideals again, the hard way.
