Mandating Service….are we talking Unconstitutional here?

With Obama, we now have a new president elect, one that the media is fawning all over like they are so enamored with the possibility of “change” that they can’t see the forest for the trees. To them, everything that Obama does, is the “right thing to do” even though some of what he is now proposing is not CONSTITUTIONAL!

Case in Point here people, Obama is now wanting to Mandate that everyone in the United States be required to serve their country in one form or another. Now, this in itself is Unconstitutional, but the people who are fawning all over Obama like the second coming of Jesus Christ are sadly missing out on what is right and what is wrong here. I found this on on Conservative Insights:

Mandating Service, It’s Change We Can All Freak Out From- So the new President elect has added some interesting information to his change.gov site. The Sweetness and Light blog found this:

Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year.

Um, I’m sorry, but who does this guy think he is? Let’s take a look at that trusty Constitution and see if he’s allowed to do this:

Amendment XIII

Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Now this, on top of Obama’s campaign workers having to complain and go after him to get paid for the work they did for him to get him elected does not bode well in my mind for someone who has been elected to the highest office in our land. With all of this going on, we have to ask if he will get rid of Clinton and Carter as the worst presidents bar none that this country has ever seen? Carter, nothing really needs to be said about him….and Clinton, changed the face of morality forever with his statement that ‘Oral sex is not sex’ bit that changed the way our youth sees that subject. Since that fiasco, we have had our youth starting Oral sex clubs, something that would have never happened if Clinton hadn’t done what he did and then lied about it under oath with Monica while in the White House.

We have lost the ideal that the President, since he represents America, has to be held to a higher standard than the rest of us, because he is what the world sees when it comes to what Americans are like. If the President is a liar and a cheat, then that is how the world sees us as being.

The world, was beginning to have some respect again for us, with Bush, until the media and the left succeeded in making everyone believe that he was stupid and the worst presdent ever. Now we have people who are saying that Obama will be great because he is a great Orator….unlike someone who has been in the White House for 8 years. The trouble is, Bush could speak if you would just listen to him….Obama…can only speak well, if he is in front of a teleprompter. Cause the teleprompter tells him what to say……otherwise, a blithering idiot appears. We have got to stop being so afraid of people not liking us for what we do, and start doing the right for once. Lets’ stop this insanity before this country goes down the drain for good. The final spin towards that drain has been started. It is up to us, the people, to stop it.
