Buckley truly was great. His show “Firing Line” was my introduction to conservatism. He will be missed. Rest in peace, Mr. Buckley.

what a fabulous post, robert – buckley truly was “da man”.

another reason or two that the libs hated him:

1. he exposed the lies they were telling about mccarthy. unfortunately even them (and more so now) the media was so firmly entrenched on the left that they smeared him as they went.

2. they were never able to “touch” him because he was above reproach. truly the worse they could say about him was that he talked over their head. big deal. so do most true conservatives, of which precious few remain.

well, maybe more than a few remain, but none attempting to run for public office are able to get any traction in the press. can we just kill all the “journalists”?
