RUSH: Now, for the past two days, I have been lamenting the fact that the Republican Party is officially — well, not officially yet, but people behind the scenes at the RNC are leaking this without attribution, they’re deeply strategerizing how to criticize Obama without running the risk of being accused of racism and bigotry and all of that, which is another reason why I want to extend Hillary’s run here so that Obama gets bloodied up because it’s apparent that the Republicans aren’t going to bloody him up. In fact, yesterday in the opening monologue, I repeated, reprised the question I so often ask of people to take time to consider: How is it that in less than 250 years a population of less than 300 million has come to so dominate the world? Never before in human history has there been an America, not even close, and we’re no different than anybody else in terms of DNA and humanity. We’re no different. How has this happened? What’s the reason? There are substantive reasons.
I have to agree with this. We did dominate the world, as Rush said. We did, especially after World War II. We became a dominant country, but we were conquerers that didn’t take land away from the losers. We always helped to rebuild the country after the war. But we have changed.
We have gone so far off the deep end that we cannot say anything to anyone without the fear of hurting someone’s feelings or offending them. This whole idea that we can’t offend someone is ridiculous. Life is full of getting your feelings hurt, and being told that your not good enough for something and being told that your not right for the position your going after…and also good things. We have to know that life includes it all. The good…..the bad….the insane…..the insulting….the stupid. And most of what we are doing now is on the lines of STUPID. We cannot keep going this direction where everyone is protected from being hurt or some such thing because they may get hurt. Well, all I can say to this is WHOOP-TI-DOO My heart bleeds purple peanut butter for you, if you can’t take being insulted without trying to change the way we do things. This is ridiculous because it is making this country weak as hell. We wonder why we are at war mostly alone against Terror. It is because we are wearing our hearts and our feelings on our sleeve, and we let ourselves get hurt too easily. We have to realize that this is life. Getting hurt, or insulted or hit or praised is all part of it. Get over being such wussies and started being the strong people that the world used to look up too. We were a strong willed, and morally just people. We were proud Americans.
