The Mystery? Where is the fence? Gesture politics, Homeland Insecurity. The non ability to be able to tell the truth, even if it slapped them in the face……

…….All terms that the liberals in this country flock to. Gesture politics……a good example of that, is the Border Fence that has been funded, and a law was passed to get it built, but, the Democrats, and the Republicans who do not want the fence built, have placed into a new bill, a way to get rid of that “damned fence” once and for all.

Last fall, the Democrats and the Republicans responded to the continued public outrage that they were getting lambasted with over the border fiasco that they caused, and because of it, they passed into law, the “Secure Fence Act.”

If you didn’t question the timing of it, you should have. It was no coincidence that they finally got off their butts to respond just before the 2006 midterm elections. Lawmakers then vowed grandly, to keep America safe. Mainly because they knew that was what the people wanted.

This law, called for “at least two layers of reinforced fencing, the installation of additional physical barriers, roads, lighting, cameras and sensors”, at five specific stretches of border totalling approximately 700 miles……and at the time, the GOP in the house were patting themselves on the back for being tough on it. President Bush made a huge deal out of signing the bill into law. Didn’t you hear the breaking of bones out of Washington from all that back patting?

On the day the bill was signed, politicians who were for open borders, were already moving to water it down. Texas Republican Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn pushed for “flexibility to choose other options instead of fencing…..if needed.”

Six months after passing the Secure Fence Act, the bill was being referred to in Washington as the Flexible Non-Fence Act. Slowly I turn……..sheesh. It seems all it takes in Washington is a little bit of time for them to forget that they are there to represent us and give US what we want……suddenly the 700 miles of double fence shrunk to around 370 miles. A 14-mile fence-building project in San Diego was stalled for years by environmental legal challenges and budget shortfalls. To check what effect it would have on the border crossers most likely. The Liberals and the so called Conservatives in our government were doing everything they could to make sure that the border fence never became a reality. And do you ever wonder why?

I have, and here is what I came up with. Our government does not care what we the people think as they should, because we want a safe and strong America, but they want the Global Community instead.

More than a year after the law for the fence was passed, the citizen watchdog group Grassfire reported that just five miles of double-layer fencing has been built in the first year of implementation of the act. Five freaking miles people. But, the Government Accountability Office claims that 70 miles were erected, but that most of that fence didn’t meet the specifications of the law and were taken down. Another way that the government has come up with to keep the fence from being built.

And instead of Congress being up in arms about this failure, they are making new laws that will do nothing but sabotage what is left of the law. And part of that was passed this week, as House Democrats incorporated Senate Republicans’ provisions to remove the two layer fencing requirements and the specific target list of fencing locations. And there is some that are saying things against what the Congress is doing to our border fence. Some like GOP Prep Peter T. King, who sponsored the Secure Fence Act, told the Washington Times: “This is either a blatant oversight or a deliberate attempt to disregard the border security of our country. As it’s currently written, the omnibus language guts the Secure Fence Act almost entirely. Quite simply, it is unacceptable.”

Yes my friends, this is unacceptable, but it is also very predictable.

GOP Minority Leader John Boehner blamed the House Democrat majority by saying: “the fact that this was buried in a bloated, 3,500 page omnibus speaks volumes about the Democrats’ unserious approach on border security and illegal immigration. Gutting the Secure Fence Act will make our borders less secure, but it’s consistent with the pattern of behavior we’ve seen all year from this majority.”

But not only the Democrats are doing this, but the border state Republicans too. they have been doing what they can to undermine the law before the ink was set and dry.

In another slap to the face of the American public, and to America’s safety itself, Congress also failed to adopt a ban on federal aid to sanctuary cities that prevent government employees and law enforcement officers from asking about the immigration status of those they stop, voting to stall implementation of stricter ID standards at border crossings and then they amazingly found enough money to fund 10 million in “emergency” funding for attorney’s fees of illegal aliens. IMAGINE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next time that you hear a presidential candidate tell you about his/her plans for what they will do to stop the Illegal Immigration problems or to build border fence finally, think about what they are saying, and then look for the proof. There will probably not be any. When looking for proof people, you have to look into the past of each of these people and see what they have always said about this national problem……and a national problem it is. This is something that could destroy our country, and the politicians in Washington do not care to fix it. And I am talking about the politicians of Both Parties. They are both selling out America as we speak…….and the only thing that will stop this, is a ground swell of public opposition to this, that will swell, and stay for the duration. Otherwise, it will all happen again. Like the great Disappearing Border Fence fiasco…that Washington politicians are passing off on us now.

Rise up people. We are the only ones who can save our great country, because the politicians do not care to do it. But we have to stop being the silent majority, and become the NOISY MAJORITY.
