Tired of the Liberal Rhetoric Show
The inscription says: “Here rests, In Honored Glory, an American soldier, known but to God.” That is the inscription on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The Tomb of the Unknowns, near the center of the cemetery, is one of Arlington’s most popular tourist sites.
The Tomb contains the remains of unknown American soldiers from World Wars I and II, the Korean Conflict and (until 1998) the Vietnam War. Each was presented with the Medal of Honor at the time of interment and the medals, as well as the flags which covered their caskets, are on display inside the Memorial Amphitheater, directly to the rear of the Tomb.
The Tomb is guarded 24-hours-per-day and 365-days-per year by specially trained members of the 3rd United States Infantry (The Old Guard).
The Memorial Amphitheater has been the scene of the funerals of some prominent Americans (such as General John J. “Black Jack” Pershing) as well as the site of both Memorial Day and Veterans Days celebrations.
On this day, in which we are to celebrate the heroics of these brave men, who, though unknown to us, are a big part of this day that honors the courage of the fighting American soldier.
Each man, laid to rest at the Tomb was awarded the Metal of Honor, something that lately seems to be a bad thing when it comes to the drive by media….like papers that we all know and have heard of…..the New York Slimes, etc. And even Fox news did something today during the Ceremony, when some names were named in the address, the commentators, instead of keeping quiet to hear what the speaker was saying, they spoke over the top of the speaker.
This day is a day of honoring the soldiers and fighting men of our great country, and they are, as Lt. Col. Doug Trenda (Ret), said, ‘We need soldiers that see their service as an affair of the heart.’ We need to honor these men who left their families for a year, or more, or forever. Who went out to fight for our rights. For the rights of stupid people to be stupid. (Which they have been exhibiting a lot lately.) For the rights of our politicians to be idiots. (Also, exhibiting a lot of that lately.) And, for our rights to be free.
We need to keep the fires of the home front burning and let our troops know that we support them and their mission. We need to thank our Veterans. Not only for the war we are in now, but also the Vietnam war, Korean War, World War II and I, Grenada, and any other war we have had to fight in.
Our soldiers need our love and support, not what they are getting from our government or the liberals. Now I am not saying Liberals are always Democrats. There are liberals in every walk of life. There are Republicans who are liberals. Liberalism has been proven not to ever work. So why do we keep trying to push it forward?
Being a Conservative therefore, does not necessarily mean that you are a Republican. There are conservative Democrats, Libertarians and Independents.
This country is at a crossroads in our history, and we need to change the direction that the ACLU and the Liberals are leading us towards…..God bless America people….God Bless Us All. Those of us who live, have to make the sacrifice of those who didn’t make it, worth the cost. As Vice President Cheney said today…..“may we never take them for granted.”
God Bless America
God Bless our Troops
God Bless my readers and Listeners

It’s too bad that you piss on the memory of people who died bravely for our country by continuing to support their lives being wasted frivolously by Bush in Iraq.

Jason, I can’t believe you’d stoop to such a comment on a post that’s about honoring the men who’ve fought for this country throughout its history. You disgust me. You’re a robotic ideologue who can’t turn off the conservatives-are-evil radio playing in your head long enough to just honor the troops you claim to care so much about. You care about them about as much as Brian de Palma does. I’m sure your US-troops-are-raping-murdering-thugs movie will be out soon. Just an example of your “mature and rational” patriotic love. Gag me.

Ridiculously poor grammar not withstanding…this is just the worst sort of commentary. I consider myself a conservative and even I am dubious about your claim that liberalism has been proven “not to ever work”. Not to ever work in what capacity? As an ethos? As an ideology? You need some citations for outrageous claims like that.
The case can be made that liberal thought is partially responsible for the degradation of shared societal values, but thats not what you are saying…
You even seem to imply that liberals are not part of the American system of government. Amusing.
