We all know they didn’t mean it. We all know they were “playing up” to the cameras and the media, as they always do. The trouble is, when will we stop falling for it?
Anyone, with half a brain could see that Nancy Palosi was directing the whole ”niceness” thing. And now, all we hear is how the democrats are reaching across the isle for bipartisanship, and that is bull!
Hanretty, hoping not to be bleeped, showed she has balls when she called the Democrats “media whore[s]” for pretending to be nice to President Bush during the state of the Union address, but express their vitriol for him at any other time.
For a while there, since it was never ever reported in the news media, I was actually beginning to think that I was imagining it. And I am talking about the hypocrisy of the Democrats being nice to the President in front of the camera, but being hugely obnoxious and mean any other time. I mean, no one seemed to notice this, and if they did, no one mentioned it. But let the Republicans take a stand on something, and all hell broke loose!
I mean, it was always so darned obvious to me that they were playing the media in every way that they could, but no one else mentioned it. Till now. Now we get this:

Voters may want a change in health care, but they’d be just as happy with tort reform, a patient’s bill of rights, and C-Span-covered drug manufacturer testimony. They don’t want the government dictating the quality of their health care any more than they want the HMO dictating the quality of their health care, and since most people have visited the Post Office and/or the DMV, chances are, they know the government option is not only slower and less competent, but far more likely to kill you up front and as questions later.

We did this to ourselves folks by voting these idiots into office. I just hope that we learn our lesson here and make sure that Hillary or Obama doesn’t get into the White house in 2008!. At least we now do not have to worry about John (I voted for it before I voted against it) Kerry.

Give me a break. I saw her tonight with Abrams and if it had been a fight, they would have stopped it in the first round. Other than running her mouth over the top of legitimate questions (”Why should not pardon all non-violent drug users”) she was totally ineffective. On the other hand, now that I think about it, in the absence of argument, maybe just babbling non-stop nonsense is the best rhetorical strategy and the only one available to her.
Some of us care more about substance than the fact that “her eyes and her smile are killers.”

Karen, Easy for you to oppose this stimulus bill-you have a job! The many little people out there don’t feel as you do, I can assure you.
As Wil Rogers once said, “Ya’ll are right ready to bail out the big banks and Wall Street but haven’t got it in you to do anything for the little guy!”

reply from Robert: This isn’t about the little guy Andy. If you really want a job, you can get one. That is what I did when I was out of work. Maybe the jobs might not be the best, but it is proven, if you get a job, no matter what it is, you help the economy, and you help yourself. Even with a low paying job, you will still be bringing home more money than when unemployed.
This idea that the government JUST HAS TOO HELP OUT everyone out of work is nothing more than Karl Marx coming back and instituting the give the weath from the ones who worked for it, to the ones waiting to collect it. This country is becoming a Communistic Socialistic country, which will do nothing for the little man, The only system that works to get the little man out of the bottom is Capitalism. If you are at the bottom but have a dream, there is a way out. With the socialism that Obama professes, if you are on the bottom, whether you have a dream or not, the only way that seems to get you out is the GOVERNMENT, and that will only work to keep you on the bottom….right where they want you.
